The 0 times last year?Just like he did in college.
The 0 times last year?Just like he did in college.
At all and if someone wants to scapegoat someone it should be Sorensen.I don’t get wanting to get rid of Turpin.
He very well could be on the team, but I wouldn't say safe.He was one of the chosen starters that didn’t even suit up for the preseason opener.
He’s safe.
Hmmm... Turpin is entering the 2nd season of a 3 year contract that he received to return kicks and sell Jerseys. Anything else is gravy.I was just listening to 105.3 the Fan & Brad Sham and interesting they brought up the question is Turpin a lock to make the roster? Interestingly,, Its a contract year for Turpin and what has he shown us lately. Was he a difference maker last year..Nope....I mean, he does two basic things, runs a jet sweep and is one of the highest paid special team players in the NFL. There is not much that Turpin does that cant be replaced by someone else... Does Turpin do anything better, I dont think so,has teams caught on how the Cowboys use him (yeah) or has Turpin lost a step because the cat is out of the bag with Turpin that shiny new player has slowed down and is becoming irrelevant .
Either way, IMO Turpin could be a surprise cut or trade as he is replaceable
2 tds in his college career. The 0 times last year?
We’ll see then. I’ll own it if I’m wrong. He very well could be on the team, but I wouldn't say safe.
It comes down to what makes the team better.I don’t get wanting to get rid of Turpin.
I don’t see how cutting a Pro Bowl returner for a never was receiver in Mingo does that.It comes down to what makes the team better.
Mingo is a good special teams player. He very well could be a gunner and punt returner and kick off coverage guy.You want to turn a mediocre special teams unit bad?
This is how you do it
he was actually giving you props.THERE ARE NO RULES For utilizing sentence structure and all that little stuff at the top that you can select different colors and sizes and you can make a full multi paragraph post..
When you realize we're not in Twitter or any other social media world that has character limits and it doesn't offer this this is a full forum that you can within the other rules that we're not allowed to do certain things As long as I color within those lines I can do whatever I want because it is right there at the top... You've never seen that but that is what that's for..
UMM,OK
Jonathan Mingo’s next touchdown will be his first.Cool. That was September 2024.
If you find something relevant that would be great.
He has never returned a punt or kickoff in the NFL or college.Mingo is a good special teams player. He very well could be a gunner and punt returner and kick off coverage guy.
So? I'm not talking about Mingo.Jonathan Mingo’s next touchdown will be his first.
Short answer is No, and we'd be crazy to make Turpin available to any contending team.NO
Bet?
He will be on the roster in the same capacity he was last year, book it,
he will not be gone thus he does something crazy off the field you know something strange something outside of football It does happen but no he will not be cut. NOPE
We're talking far too much about this just because of what you think you're seeing from the other receivers who don't do what he does ,
He literally had some of the longest plays from scrimmage last year on the offense, he's a gadget player but he also in the return game you think that he's fell off and he didn't there just wasn't as good at blocking and everyone is calling for the special teams cause to be fired last year because nothing looks special and it was more because of injuries That's right the injuries on the defense affect the depth that you can use people on special teams so we'll see what it looks like this year but he's the same old Turpin and he has a unique niche job on this team that not one person has proven they can do and he's done it in a regular season not practice not camp and not fake games that by the way he didn't play in that's all you need to know he's a starter he has a role and he has a spot
Turpin really isn't that player as a returner - certainly wasn't in 2025.Short answer is No, and we'd be crazy to make Turpin available to any contending team.
He has limited effectiveness as a WR sure: but he can house a PR or KR @ any moment. You don't let a weapon like that go. You just don't.
Go back to our last playoff victory. Pretty sure the biggest play of the game was Tavon Austin's PR to set up the winning score.
Mingo caught 2 punts Saturday night. I wouldn't say that I want Turpin gone, but I can see that he is replaceable. Brown makes him replaceable because he is clearly a better receiver and Mingo can clearly do things that Turpin can not do.He has never returned a punt or kickoff in the NFL or college.
I’m not sure why you’re the president of the Jonathan Mingo fan club but he is not a return specialist and if they force him to be one, you’re taking that against a guy whose been all-pro twice and in the pro bowl three times.
You want Turpin gone, fine, but quit trying to make Mingo into something he’s not.
He’s a guy who made one play against Seattle and has never scored an NFL touchdown.
It would have to be the high chair.I was just listening to 105.3 the Fan & Brad Sham and interesting they brought up the question is Turpin a lock to make the roster? Interestingly,, Its a contract year for Turpin and what has he shown us lately. 2 time all pro which is the real gold standard. He’s an elite return guy and he can help on offense when neededExactly!
The guy is a 3-time Pro Bowl returner!
In his 4 years in the league, the man has made the Pro Bowl 3 times!
