I just went in Pro Football Reference to check if the 12 guys ahead of Von Miller played their age 37 season…boy was I shocked. 7 were still playing at 37. Their sack totals that year:

Bruce Smith - 10
Reggie White - 16
Kevin Greene - 12
Julius Peppers - 11
Chris Doleman - 15
Jason Taylor - 7
Terrell Suggs - 6.5

Guess this shows that the greats (if generally healthy) can still be productive well into their careers. Miller is a great get…even if he gets hurt, there isn’t a better teacher for the young guys.

Reggie White - 16
I will never forget this moment.

And it never happened again.

Well, duh.

You don't play in this league at 37 if you suck and have nothing left.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

If we had nominations for post of the day, I would submit yours to be ridiculous.
Was this really necessary? Adds absolutely nothing but trying to stir up trouble with another poster.

I thought the information was interesting. Just showing that an older player can still produce at an elite level. If you didn't like the information provided, you could just scroll on by without being an A hole.

I thought the information was useless.

You don't stay in this league at that age by not producing.

Whatever happened to critical thinking? Do they no longer teach that in the flyover states?

Did I trigger you dude? You ok?

If he gives us 7 sacks that would be a big win as far as acquiring him
I'm expecting 8 to 10 if he's healthy. I think we'll be smart about overusing him. And by we, I mean Christian Parker, not Jerry and Stephen.

I mean, he had 9 in 17 games last year, 6 in 13 the year before, 8 in 11 in 2022, 5 in 8 in 2021 ... The only year he didn't produce was in 2023, when he had none in 12 games. He was coming off an ACL injury that year and also facing some personal issues (being accused of domestic abuse). Otherwise, he's produced whenever he's been on the field. The four games he missed in 2024 were because of a suspension.

If we get 6 or 7 sacks along with his veteran leadership then I'll be really happy. I Iove this move. It fits so many different needs: sacks, leadership, depth.

He did a great job teaching the Commander's defense last year.
