I mean it's still preseason I think the timing would be good. I don't think it would happen and honestly I'd rather have Pickens but if I'm losing Pickens for nothing then yeah I'd take Crosby.

Well talent isnt in question with Pickens. Its more or so attitude. will he revert back to how he was in Pitt after getting paid? He seems to love it in Dallas so i would hope that stops all that if he does get paid.

Not at what it will cost in both draft picks and money. Unless you think we are one player away and that player is Crosby.

He wouldn't be a luxury but getting him would cost even more deleted draft picks next year and money that could be used for someone like Pickens.

Yup. You are giving up the better player who is also younger and has no health issues. Crosby two years ago is probably better than Pickens now. But its not two years ago

This is dummm. They play different positions. Gary needs a stud pass rusher across from him. When you think of Gary, think Tony Tolbert, think Antonio Smith. Solid run stoppers w/ decent pass rush skills.

I think they wanna see how the start of the season shakes out . If they look good they might add Crosby and a vet corner back and go for it. You can trade a 1st for Crosby and recoup that somehow somewhere down the line it doesn’t really matter . Don’t gotta horde the assets . Dak has 1-2 years left

We don't need him. Trust the plan in place by CP. He's got this. If he thought we had to add another big name dude, Maxx would be here already. That's telling. The moves we have done on defense are all CP guys. He wanted these particular players. Besides that, how many snaps a game would MC get per game with the current DE/olb room? Sometimes we overthink things. We have young guys like Land, having a great camp, and others of course like Barham, and quietly tyus wheat is steady Eddie. I didn't even know we had him back in Dallas lol. He seems to thrive here. It's a young man's game, let them cook. Maxx has those shaky knees anyway.

It’s a silly approach if so.
They should try and get him now that he way skip the whole trade for him at 3-3 or 3-4 and hope for a run….but this is what they did last year and when they traded for Amari…..

Well Maxx is a totally different kind of player, to your point. He's more of a 4-3 pure pass rush guy. Gary is not that at all so the comp isn't even fair. Gary is a power de player with some pass rush skills and better against the run. My concern with Gary is in 3-4 if he has to drop back and cover. That's not his game.

I think they are going to surprise. Should have better QB play. Not a playoff team, but not 2-3 wins either.

Agree with all that, although in today's game, there really isn't such things anymore as 3-4 or 4-3 defenses like we used to think of them.

More often than not, we'll be in essentially a 4-2-5 or a 5-1-5. The nickel is pretty much the standard defense today, so usually teams are playing a 4-2-5 most all the time.

It's disguised because you don't always know which LBs are rushing, and in "3-4" defenses, the defensive ends stand up rather than putting their hands down.

I really like that we'll have three stout big bodies in there most all the time. I'm tired of getting run on at will.
