Would you Trade Milton?

Joe Milton’s stock has never been higher.

He’s obviously a super talented player.

If a QB needy team wanted to do a player trade would you do it?

A Corner or Offensive Tackle on a Rookie deal or a affordable Vet who is above average?

I think I’d pass because QBs are so important but if you’re wanting to go all in then that’s really going all in.

1 more corner on defense would be huge for this team too.
Depends on what another team offers. Milton has had two good preseason games and he is 26 years old. The Cowboys wouldn’t get more then a last day draft pick for him.

All depends on what I see from him. Were these last 2 games a flash in the pan, or has he progressed? The coaches should know the answer to that.
I think the coaches only know that for sure with real games that matter experience.

No he'll be used here soon enough.
Once he starts a handful of games, he won't see the bench again.

I could see a desperate team offering us a 2nd rounder. I wouldn't take it, because there is a real possibility that he could either sooner or later (Dak injury or retirement) be our starting QB.
A 2nd right now? There's no way. A desperate team would offer a 4th and say, "Yall are profiting from your trade with New England. Take it or leave it."

Inability to read a defense under pressure is a requirement for Dallas quarterbacks. He is not going anywhere. The mediocrity must be sustained.

I may consider a trade for a phenomenal player early on a rookie contract for a position of need but that is highly unlikely to materialize. I would also consider an Eagles like fleecing for a first round pick like the Sam Bradford trade but again, that’s not likely. I think a QB needy team may offer a mid to high pick, rounds 4-2 possibly but I don’t think that would be worth it to the cowboys. Having a good backup QB is valuable but even more so, Milton is young and could have a future if he continues to improve as he has. He could have a future here, so it would take a lot for me to move on from that.

If Dak was 28 I would say yes. Even though its still a long shot that Big Joe becomes a QB1, its too much of a potential win to keep him. If he keeps growing and we have a Cam Newton talent for a 6th rd pick they struck gold.

LOL a first for Joe Milton. You’d be lucky to get a third for him, let alone a first.

Preseason is freaking wild. Love it.
a 3rd...nobody is paying a 3rd for a 26 year old QB, who is still learning to read a defense and not ready for any primetime yet.

if we get a 4th, it would be crazy.

Draft Date: April 27, 2024 (6th Round, 193rd Pick)
Time in New England: One season (2024–2025
Trade Date: April 3, 2025 (Traded to Dallas alongside a 7th- round pick. for a 5th-round pick

Absolutely, and Im coming around on him. I dont think he is a starter, but I think he could be a quality back up. If a team covets him and offers good compensation, we would be fools to pass it up. Howell is a good backup. He just might not be as good as Milton

He's probably more valuable to us as a backup than any pick we can get for him. No team is giving up a day 2 pick based on preseason. No matter how good he looks.

I think he’s better than Andy Dalton, who’s backing up Jalen hurts
