Would you Trade Milton?

I wouldn’t trade him for a draft pick.

What’s suggested in the OP makes sense, but rarely do you see player for player deals in this sport. I’m not sure I ever recall a QB being dealt for a starting player.

Tough to say when you don’t know what the return might be, but I think if Dak goes down, they might be able to get away with some sort of combo with Howell and Milton. Imagine having to prepare for both…or preparing for one and getting the other. Probably more valuable as an insurance policy than what the likely return is.

He’s obviously a super talented player.

If a QB needy team wanted to do a player trade would you do it?

A Corner or Offensive Tackle on a Rookie deal or a affordable Vet who is above average?

I think I’d pass because QBs are so important but if you’re wanting to go all in then that’s really going all in.

1 more corner on defense would be huge for this team too.

I get it, but Dak gets hurt sometimes and is getting old. Plus, QBs are hard to come by. Why not develop him now that he's starting young show a little touch with his passes?

Jerry seems use QB2/QB3 as one year rentals.

There hasn’t been an effort to develop a QB.

They were lucky finding Romo and Dak.

The gap between Aikman and Romo was a disaster.

I just don’t put any faith in it.

Keep Milton.
They finally got a team that looks it could do something in the playoffs. If the defense improves to be middler of the pack.

Dak is a year older. And Milton form the PS games, looks so much better than last year.
He is a great insurance policy from the looks of it so far. Could not get enough in a trade for him to take that chance.

Absolutely, and Im coming around on him. I dont think he is a starter, but I think he could be a quality back up. If a team covets him and offers good compensation, we would be fools to pass it up. Howell is a good backup. He just might not be as good as Milton

I still don't know why the Patriots wanted to trade him that badly. I don't know if they saw the threat of a QB controversy looming or if they just saw his up and down play and thought since they have their franchise QB, let's get something for him now while he played well in a regular-season game and this might be the highest his stock will be.

I live in New England, like 26 minutes away from Gillette Stadium
The buzz was, he really wanted to be a starter, but Drake may have that wrapped up, New England was kind enough to let him go, they really wanted him for a back up,

I just asked Google and that’s what ESPN said, but I know it’s not set in stone yet.

I don't understand why this board is so enamored with trading away depth like football isn't a contact sport where players can go down on any given play. Any backup player on this team shows a glimpse of potential, some guys on here bring up the ideal of trading him for picks.

wow, I didn't realize he was that old. and at 26, just learning and people wanted to give 2,3 years to learn.

I hate to bang on the kid but preseason football only shows how bad you are. Vanilla defenses and 2nd/3rd stringers it’s hard to tell how good you are. I need to see it in the regular season for a few games.
