10 years ago today Romo suffered a back injury in the preseason, paving the way for Dak

Never once said Dak was single handedly why we won yeah you’re a dishonest debater
The hypocrisy in these words is off the charts.

Your entire argument is that Dak inherited a bad, 4 win team. When presented with a cogent rebuttal pointing out the major factors that contributed to that 4 win season, and that the team had won 12 games the prior season with the same roster, and that significant improvements were made in the 2016 roster over both the 2014 and 2015 rosters you immediately rabbit hole the debate by deflecting to "durr durr it's Jerry's fault" and then shift the goalposts to SB victory as the benchmark rather than regular season and playoff performance.

Then you call me a "dishonest debater".

You 100% said Dak inherited a bad team. That bad team went on to win 13 games and claim the top seed in the NFC. You sir are as dishonest as it gets.

Maybe slow down a bit on the redbulls. Your fingers are outpacing your brain.

You’re not capable of having this debate. I acknowledged the offensive line and Zeke as well. Yeah just move on you won you got it. We can’t have this conversation either you’re not capable or you’re being obtuse. You got it champ. You won.

Hey there’s other posts you can reply to. Other posters who are saying the same things I’m saying. Go for it….
Mr honest debater at it again.

Not one single person (other than you lol) has claimed Prescott inherited a bad team. Just the opposite in fact.

Not one single person (other than you lol) didn't know the winner of Dal/GB would face the Falcons in the NFCCG.

Take pride in the fact that you are the one single person who is just that deficient.

You should have just stayed down.

Stay down for what? You’re doing nothing lol. Take pride in knowing I’m also the only person who cares enough to respond to you lol. Make sure you pop your Red Bull I know it can get exhausting trying to keep up and stop from falling down a rabbit hole that only you seem to fall down lol.

This is a big day for him on the internet!
Says the guy with twice as many posts as me in half the time.

I can see why you're so smitten with tmc. I love seeing people finally find their true soulmates. Congrats to the both of you.

You would need 14 promotions to become likeable. We're here for fun, not your fragile ego boosting post count. Now run along, you're not that important.

Bold> The missing keyword is 'often'. Dak Prescott was not an abnormality. He was simply the latest (at that time) of rookie quarterbacks for playoff caliber teams, who became the starter either through injury or because they were drafted by their front office for the sole purpose of becoming their new franchise quarterback.

He joined that select list of 'good enough' teams like those led by Ben Roethlisberger, Mark Sanchez, Brock Purdy, Joe Flacco, Shaun King, Jayden Daniels, etc. Every rookie quarterback led team has exited the playoffs before the Super Bowl. What was and still is an abnormality was the presence of the just benched starting franchise quarterback on the same roster as the rookie quarterback for the playoff bound team. That particular circumstance was far rarer by comparison.

As I told anyone starting in 2016, I have zero disagreement with anyone who wanted Dallas to move on from Tony Romo. Romo had his shot. New blood is a way of life in sports. The Cowboys should not be considered an exception.

lol. What I have total disagreement (not saying you) with is EVERYONE who thought and agreed that the change would support the possibility of Dallas reaching or winning the Super Bowl immediately following the 2016 season. Not 2017. Not 2018. Not 2019 to today.

No.

Super Bowl LI.

With a rookie quarterback.

It was not going to happen. That 2016 team was not that special. It was not some historical juggernaut on either side of the ball. No rookie quarterback would have helped it get to the championship game. Same goes for OTHER teams with a rookie quarterbacks.

There was one member here (I will not name him), who said almost immediately after Dak Prescott took over following Romo's injury, that (paraphrasing) "I am completely happy and satisfied we got a new quarterback finally but understand the team would not win the Super Bowl that year." I have given that particular member props many many times over the years. That was a 100% realistic viewpoint that was not uttered often during that particular season of Team Chemistry Euphoria. Why?

No rookie quarterback-led team has ever reached or won the Super Bowl since its creation. Why would anyone think differently about Super Bowl LI?

It has been ten freaking years. And I still cannot wrap my brain around that particular madness.

That would be an interesting new thread to list all the rookie quarterbacks that have at least made the playoffs and those that have made the championship games and the very rare few that actually play in the Super Bowl if none have won it...

The one that comes to mind without research would be Dan Marino and it's sad because that was his only trip to the Super Bowl and it was a loss and he never got back there that just goes to show even a Hall of Fame quarterback without the right team and the right mix it's no guarantee they're ever going to win a Super Bowl..

If I thought I was liked by a curmudgeonly old drunk I would seek immediate help.

I must have some importance to you as you keep qouting me even though I ignored you to this point.

Enough though. You mean girls are going to have to find someone else to project your insecurities on. Exposing you two is as challenging as the 49's exposing Prescott in the playoffs.

Get a second opinion.

The Dolphins picked Dan Marino with the 27th overall pick in the 1983 draft. During his rookie season, Miami lost in the divisional round to Seattle. Marino helped lead his team to a Super Bowl XIX appearance during his season season.

typo, But my understanding was his first year I guess that he went to the Super Bowl when he was a starter 1st year as a starter so yeah maybe that was inaccurate, I thought it was his rookie year...
