Happy Micah Trade anniversary

I didn’t like this trade when it happened, and it clearly negatively impacted the defense. He was far and away the only elite talent on the defensive side of the ball.

However, I didn’t expect Jerry to actually trade for Quinnen Williams. If Malachi Lawrence turns into a good player, this trade is a big W.

If we GET to see tomorrow,
I HOPE it's worth all the wait...
It's so hard... to say goodbye...
To yesterday...

Regrets? I've had a few but then again too few to mention.

But never when it counts, lol, sarcasm

This team was never going to get to a Superbowl with Micah as the centerpiece, even with as disruptive as he could be, AT TIMES. The Cowboys defense needed a complete overhaul with many good pieces, not just one outstanding piece, to ever have a chance at a deep playoff run.
So, I was always for this trade...even if it didn't work out. I would still rather see the Cowboys cut their losses and try to acquire more talent across the board than to overpay for Micah. Thus, I'm glad Micah, Jerry and Micah's agent had a falling out, and then Jerry held that grudge and moved on.

The Jets won the trade.

Cowboys got more than just those players.
They were able to sign some FA’s as well. That they never would have.
Like Thompson at S. Keeping Williams at RB. It opened up cap space. And alllwed them to make other moves as well.
