Would you Trade Milton?

I see Milton having the kind of success Dak had during his 2016 preseason. And I still don't trust Dak's leg making it through an entire season. Just sayin.

Dak has missed 9 games with a leg injury one time in the last 5 years what are you even talking about

The problem is that Joe Milton is not leverage against Dak...or anybody else, for that matter. Each time Dak's contracts were due, there were plenty of other options to turn to at QB, but he stuck with him through thick and thin

At the time, nobody. Out there in the NFL world? That's a different story, but no point circling back to that point in Cowboys history and discussing Trey as our saviour. Milton cannot be seen as a Dak replacement has been my point

For what? You’d get a mid or late round pick for him unless there was an injury and someone was DESPERATE.

Even then do you give up a potential Dak successor for even a late first? Not saying he is but if we do think he might be no way I’m trading him, maybe not even for a first. QB desert is harsh place to be and hard to get out of.

Yeah, maybe not right now. My main point is that I wouldn't trade him, I mean unless someone throws a mid to high first rounder at us. We need a solid backup. 2 years is a long time and even if Milton would be a step down from Dak if he is starter quality and 20M a year cheaper I'd want that option in negotiations with Dak.

He’s obviously a super talented player.

If a QB needy team wanted to do a player trade would you do it?

A Corner or Offensive Tackle on a Rookie deal or a affordable Vet who is above average?

I think I’d pass because QBs are so important but if you’re wanting to go all in then that’s really going all in.

1 more corner on defense would be huge for this team too.

A 4th, only to receive mingo and a 7th? That's pretty stupid.

And please dont bring up preseason because we can shift right over to Milton when it comes to that, who BTW has had a better preseason than mingo.

Not sure your point here. Is it that the Cowboys were stupid enough to trade a 4th for him that someone else would?
