TRADED Cowboys trade for OT Broderick Jones

Absolutely stunning the Cowboys had the #2 offense last year without a blocking OT isn't it?
I think it shows two things. One, they are not so terrible that we can't get by with them and have success offensively. And two, they are the reason we struggled against some of the better defenses. Pass protection didn't hold up.

He probably said the same thing about Pickens
Pickens' problem wasn't his play, though. Jones just hasn't been very good.

With Pickens, the question was whether he could get his behavior in check to match his on-field production. With Jones, it's whether he can get his skills in check to match his high-end athleticism.

I don’t like it. I think we paid too much.
Probably, but our right tackle is a question mark and our backups have not looked good. I'd rather see us take a swing than do nothing at all. Now, there are a few free agents on the street who might have been better options, but I have no idea what they are seeking or if they even really want to play anymore.

Probably is correct, but I won't be so bold as to declare anything yet. Leonard Davis and Mark Columbo were both "washed" when we got them. Many fans didnt want to re-sign Flozel Adams when Parcells arrived.

Hopefully this kid was stunted by flip flipping sides and coaching. I just hope Clayton Adams believes he can help the guy and is a part of the acquisition.

Davis was playing tackle, where his lack of top movement skills was getting him beat despite his humongous size. Moving him inside was the best thing to happen in his career. Colombo played well when healthy but had trouble staying healthy with the Bears.

Jones is a tackle who struggled at that position on both the right and left sides even before his injury. He's got a lot to overcome just to be adequate. Hopefully, the change of scenery and scheme will be good for him. Not expecting much, though. Of course, our tackles haven't set a high bar for him to reach.

Amazing how many people are against this trade......Wow :omg:
This is making me like it more

From that small set of clips we wasn’t getting beat to the spot, it was hand placement and leverage. I’m going against the crowd and saying the dude has a real shot at being a good RT when he is fully healthy

I'm not sure anyone understands what you are doing. Again, the fourth-round hit rate is only around 50 percent for us (slightly lower leaguewide). Listing several successes doesn't change that.
glad to see you double down on stupidity. I was purposefully listing HOF that came from the 4th round or later, mocking the idiots so upset we are trading late rd picks, because as you stated..... its hard to stick.....which was the point of my OBVIOUS mockery.

Glad you feel that it was obvious mockery. I didn't see it that way, but appreciate you resorting to being a jerk about it. Have a good night.

No this has nothing to do with it why are some still wanting Pickens gone or think he will be
I don’t recall saying I “want him gone”. If I did, please point that out to me.

Do I think Cee Dee and Pickens are taking up too high of a percentage of the cap? Yes.

If the team can make the cap work that’s fine to keep them both. But with Dak also hogging a large chunk of the cap it’s problematic to keep depth.
