There’s no doubt that our new defensive coordinator looked at all of these stiffs that the great Will McClay has collected - over the years or had “unearthed-“ I’m laughing as I typed that.
And he said it’s time to start dumping these clowns.

The bravado of our new defensive coordinator to buck the system - to tell the cowboy brass - that you don’t know a hole from your *** - without a doubt rubbed off on our goofball tennis visor wearing head coach.

Schottenheimer spun around and sliced every wart out that McClay brought in and reset the franchise.

Hallelujah

Even at the sake of depth - Schottenheimer and Parker said ENOUGH of this Tom foolery.
Enough of the laziness - enough of the injured draft day sliders - enough of the 7th round miracle pics that the entire league passed on but somehow Will knew better - GONE.

Smell the air a new day upon us - it took Christian Parker to come in and say what the hell is going on here why are you all to Larry Lacewell again?

Hallelujah

This is just dumb.

First, McClay approves who they keep and cut. It's not Shotty's decision alone.

Second, every team does this. We just got the Steelers first round receiver and first round tackle for a song.

All 32 teams cut former high draft picks all the time after a couple of seasons.

McClay is excellent at his job.

Anyone have a breakdown on all the drafts that McClay has done to see where he really is? I think he's good but he's had some stinkers. (2023 draft comes to mind). Just wondering how the overall picture looks compared to other Player/Personnel guys. I am sure he's top 10? Ai should be able to handle this question. LOL

I oposted something on here before like that but the mcclay detractors out on blinders. He was near the top 10 regarding draft success

There were basically zero surprise cuts today save for some fans' pet cats. 90 percent of them were UDFAs and former practice squad members.

So I have no idea what players the original post is referring to as a "pushback" on McClay. Was it trading a 7th round pick in Nate Thomas for another 7th round pick?

Confused.

Were any of the cuts premium picks?

Sam Williams. Anybody else?

They haven't been as good at drafting as they used to be. Still cant believe how bad they've been in the 2nd round the last 26ish years. Just terrible.
Here's hoping Ezeiruaku can end the futility with 2nd rounders.

Diggs technically did too before his knee problems.

You may think this is being harsh on Will McClay, but he is the highest paid non-GM in football and that’s not his fault but he’s also not worth it. He’s been in his organization as long as Larry Lacewell was and he’s accomplished nothing.

It is time to completely overhaul, our scouting system, and our talent evaluation system.

And for those of you uneducated football fans and those of you in denial and those of you who just started watching football when Tony Romo was the quarterback, you have no clue what you’re speaking about.

McClay it’s right in the thick of it and many of these pics are on him like it or not.
