They have 3 backs on the roster and will have at least 2 on the practice squad. They decided to keep Brown for the future.

He needs time in a pro weightroom. From an athletic standpoint he has great left tackle traits. His strength just isn't there yet. Teams have to declare an inactive list every week anyway, so might as well give Shelton a redshirt season.

I actually agree. Even though he was awful he is a rookie tackle. Give him a year, see if he improves. If not, ok. But I don’t blame him for the lack of depth at tackle. l think people get too caught up in “earning the star” as fans. Blue struggled last year. He got a second chance, it didn’t workout, they cut him. Point being they’re not afraid to make the tough decisions. We’d be doing ourselves a disservice not to wait at least one full year and see what we have in Shelton

Schoonmaker is a bum. He didn't get even 200 yards in receiving or even a TD last season. He lost his 2nd string position to a UDFA in Spann- Ford. Trigg has more upside and gets open. Schoonmaker is a stiff nothing more.

We only have 2 running backs on the roster and a fullback? That seems like a disaster waiting to happen...

They would probably use a TE as an HB if they were down to only Hunter at RB if both Williams and Davis got injured in a game. I’m not sure it’s that big of a deal at this point. I’m not a huge HL fan, but I see the vision as of now on how they might approach that scenario.

Yep. Based on nothing but the eyeball test Trigg isn't close to Shoon at this point. If you can't run routes and you can't block, you aren't going to transplant Shoon.

Oh the Internet GM super fans Oh my yes you're right the coaches are so stupid they need to confer with you before they make cuts or you fell in love with your little pet cat like we all do at times but you realize that they'll try to get them to the practice squad because he hasn't done squat in their eyes and I understand why.. Sorry dude maybe you should call them and put in a complaint that you think you're judge of personnel for this team I mean maybe you get a job
