Give Adams some time to work with Jones, and I think we’ll see a better player. Having an OL whisperer like Adams in his ear is exactly what Jones needs right now. The athletic ability is there, and you can’t teach that. The things he needs to improve—technique, consistency, positioning, etc.—can be coached and fixed.

Just like with the backup QB, I’d love to see Jones get some garbage-time reps this season. There’s no substitute for live NFL game experience, and those reps could be extremely valuable for his development.

I wonder what is he even doing....like in the past his issue was pass protecting and coming back from injury. If the guy can't play he maybe just can't play he doesnt' strike me as a guy who's not motivated to play. Not sure what they are doing here.

Its all the exact same he's got the traits BS that hasn't translated to the field in his 4 years of play with the current Cowboy left tackle, no?

Guyton's bio is identical, it's just he's "only" on his year 3 delayed on field development plan that Cowboy Nation prays will finally produce a competent pass blocker.

I don't think he's really legit competition to Steele. Brock is more comfortable on the left side and he's working back from a serious surgery.

I do like Shotty not coddling Steele, though.

Yep. Completely gone. It would be nice to have found a guy to play right tackle for sure I just don't see it though. Not right now anyway.
