LOL, it's exactly the opposite of what you wrote. Howell is a vastly more complete and trustworthy quarterback than Milton.
I think they feel pretty confident Milton will make it to the practice squad.
That's what I wondered but i'm guessing they want him back. I just don't get why someone wouldn't claim him.
It doesn't matter I know how to read for the most part this coaching staff in this front office I told you how they felt about him and yeah I was back on the practice squad which is great but that tells me you're wrong because of 53 man roster cannot be made with 32 teams Then he still needs to prove things that's it's all I'm saying maybe he'll get that chance Maybe he'll get called up a few times maybe he'll prove it But I was right and you overdid it today that's the only reason I'm coming here to rub it in a little I really don't care because anything past Ferguson and Ford and when you look at the talent on this offense they weren't gonna get a lot of balls to any of these guys not even after WR4 I mean this is the argument I don't care who the RB3 or the QB3 are people are arguing about all this stuff it doesn't matter if we get down to those guys we're in trouble anyway If we get down to those guys we're in trouble anyway.
That part of it I do like. Teams are more likely to have stacked their rooms by now so adding a QB to the 53 is less likely. Of course, all it takes is one team seeing him as a potential upgrade to their No. 3 and I think he showed enough for that.
Ultimately its not but I think for some of us we are confused. You have some players who have done nothing. You have some players who have to fight for their spot on this team. In this what did Sam howell show that Milton didn't?
I don't think so Just like Cooper Rush held down the Fort with a little bit better special teams and defense in 2022 and then Prescott got back kept them afloat and they made the playoffs that's what you want from a veteran howell's a Cooper Rush with more mobility and I was right and think about him with this offense with these players the starters not what you seen maybe when he played with with Washington or when he played in preseason we're talking about all he needs to know is don't mess it up they'll hand the ball off get the ball to these targets don't take any risks and let the defense and special teams help that's what Cooper Rush did and he wasn't perfect but he was able to keep it afloat that's what you need from a veteran you don't hand the keys to a guy like Milton..
I mean if you are a team would you not sign Milton off waivers just because of a guy like Ewers or someone?

He didn't need to show more he needed to be even and then the tiebreaker is his experience in the NFL might not be much to me he's Cooper Rush with more mobility and with this offense and hopefully an improved defense that's all they'll ask him to do just like Cooper rushed it for one game in the Minnesota game and a handful of games they're saying don't screw it up You need someone with experience to do that Howell has that kind of experience I think he understands his role with this offense and hopefully the improved defense and hopefully a little help from the coaching staff they're going to run the ball they're going to get the ball to their superstars and if it's not there they're gonna tell them hey throw the ball away take a sack you can live for another series that's what you're looking for and Milton doesn't have that poise yet he does not understand the NFL yet he's got happy feet he's a little too antsy he he feels the pressure he's not comfortable yet I hope that he can show that but don't say that you don't think Howl showed more no he didn't have to All he had to do was show with the backups that he can be a backup..
That's once again the Cowboys cut Julius word and once again Julius Wood is picked up but somehow Julius Wood made it back to the Cowboys.. You see what I'm doing here apparently he's good enough to be picked up and maybe get on a practice squad maybe be inactive most games but he is not a big loss and we need to stop crying over these little moves 'cause nothing passed about 38 players on this team, Are gonna matter in the long run if we lose superstars and we lose our starting quarterback in a handful of players or have a rash of injuries on defense again like the last 2 years the Cowboys are not going many places julius Woods would not save the Cowboys season being a backup on this team.
Howell had his chance and sucked as a starter. Howell is horrible.
He actually played quite well considering he was on the worst team in football.
