I totally disagree with Johnson. Milton sealed his fate when he missed the wide-open tight end in the middle of the field with no pressure. It was a layup, and those are the plays that can seal your fate.

Same thing with Sam Williams failing to set the edge on the first Saints TD. Same with Blue fumbling early in camp. These little things matter. Coaches notice them, and when you’re fighting for a roster spot, you can’t afford to repeatedly make those kinds of mistakes.

Some players simply don’t seem to take those moments seriously enough, and in the NFL, those mistakes can cost you your job.

Nah, it wasn’t the fumble, you’re right. Blue just isn’t a very good football player IMO. Fast but lacks vision and strength. The fumbles were just another brick in that wall.
