We sitting here — and we in here talking about backup QBs. I mean, listen, we talking about backup QBs. Not a starter! Not a starter! Not a starter! We talking about backup QBs. Not a starter; we're talking about backup QBs, man. I mean, how silly is that, man
With Dak....we do need to have some serious consideration. Age and injuries....maybe we SHOULD talk about it!

Many people laughed and mocked Cooper....but he won some games for us. I liked him...but we never really had any SERIOUS talk..let alone PLAN...for Dak's backup. Let alone a successor.

And here we are....STILL no serious talk or plan.

Good thing we have YOU around to keep things straight.:rolleyes::facepalm:

Yeah, it's no longer about money since all PS players get paid the same. It's about opportunity. It may be an opportunity to move closer to home or a better opportunity to compete for a No. 2 job.

I'm not saying I blame him and his agent for that. I just disown him if he chooses someone other than my team.
All practice squad players don't get paid the same.

So you're applauding heineke 2.0 for playing for a team dumb enough to start him for a season? That's not a flex for him so I don't get the giggling. But I notice that's what yall do when you don't have anything.
I'm through arguing this. Sam Howell is on the Cowboys' 53 man roster.

Joe Milton was waived. The ENTIRE NFL had a chance to put in a waiver claim and guarantee getting him on their team.

Not a single team thought enough of Milton to even do that. It would have cost nothing. They could still cut him at any time. Yet, NOT. A. SINGLE. TEAM. DID.

So I'm not sure who has "nothing" here. The events of today speak for themselves. But anyways, I am done. Have fun waiting for Milton to become Lamar Jackson.

When did the last backup QB win a Super Bowl?

Yes. Go look at their stats from Washington. These dudes don't want to address actual facts. They've been ducking and dodging my questions all day but got the nerve to be in here giggling. Smh
Your stats are irrelevant. Look who is constantly sought for backup QB gigs?

Hint: It’s not Joey.

Flo waived...not picked up...and back on our roster.

So please...don;t act like it's the death knell.

Unless you WANT it to be for him.

If he's smart, he'll sign with the Cowboys (assuming they want him).

However, he's butthurt, so he'll probably leave out of spite.
I think he will sign with Dallas.

Those with two or fewer seasons do. I guess Milton would have some negotiating power since this would be his third season.

Players with fewer than two or fewer seasons will make $13,750 per week in 2026. If the player remains on the practice squad for the entirety of the regular season, that will equate to $247,500.

Those with more than two seasons of experience have some negotiating power. In 2026, that salary range is between $18,350 and $22,850 per week.

Define death knell?

Does Milton have a place in this league? Sure. Maybe in a few weeks lol

Oh he's ***. I think he's better than Rush but yeah I don't get the love affair. Well I do. I said yesterday these dudes see him and think of Romo. I think deep inside they hoping he take Dak's spot as payback for Romo.

People STILL use that term these days? Wow....

but anyway...if that's what he wants...then do it. Find own path.

I don;t think it's that harsh...you had your conversation with him and know more than anyone else. Cool.
