Exactly ............ I am guessing this wasn't his first time driving and drinking. He just finally got caught.

.15 is like 7 beers in 2 hours. Anyone with with a bit of a tolerance isn't affected that much. Still illegal and he should have known better.

Yeah, but remember it was taken a good while after he was pulled over, possibly hours (if he got the test done himself) so to still blow that high after that time means it was likely more

Entitled frat boy attitude we see all too often in the world. "Rules for thee, not for me.". Money ain't the root cause. It's the inner core of a person's character that gets exposed and magnified. I expect his insecurities go way back and the alcohol is a mask. He needs to go talk to families that been utterly destroyed by drunk drivers like him. He needs life lessons before it's too late. Change however must come first from the person or it won't last. He's got kids, maybe that can help him snap out of it.

You lose 1 beer and hour. One to Two hours later is the norm. So, 9 beers in two hours for an experienced drinker at the club....shoot, id drink 4 or 5 double vodka waters in that time at my club at happy hour....but, my wife would pick me up and my daughter would drive my truck home.

That's the question I was saying in the other thread he'd have been asked should he have chosen to do any of his apology in person.

Pretty sure once they knew they couldn't get this thrown out on a technicality, etc. the only thing to do was admit "something" and just pay the fine.

The reported 0.15 BAC makes this substantially more serious in my view. The driving decision is the biggest problem. Whatever the circumstances behind his alcohol use, Romo got behind the wheel at a level of intoxication that was almost twice the legal limit. That's not a minor lapse in judgment. He was putting other people at risk.

He has taken some important steps in the right direction, So good on him. But it's too early to know the answer to the bigger questions. Hold him accountable for driving drunk, but don't shame him for acknowledging that he has a substance problem and getting help for it.

I don't think one awful incident—especially when the person is acknowledging a substance problem and seeking professional help—should permanently define Romo. I'd be much more interested in what Tony does over the next 6–12 months than in continuing to pile punishment on him for what happened in July.
