If Dak is going to get the cowboys to the nfc championship or SB, now would be the time under Parker, that is a two year window at best. Once Parker is gone, his style of scheme will be out of the window.

I believe Dak will have a decent defense if not better under Parker. Dak is loaded, and the excuse train has long left the station.

Some will say what about the Rams, Seahawks etc.....well, that is where Dak needs to push himself to the point of exhaustion, especially if the defense is giving more than what was given last year, which i believe under Parker will give.

If not in this two year window, then we might as well chalk Dak up just as we did Romo, a 10+ year career roller coaster ride, with not much to show for.

Come to think of it, thats a little over 20 years between two QBs of the same thing. Insane.

I'm hopeful that Parker has that kind of impact, but it's got to be a stronger defense than just average.

Once they traded Micah, I felt 2027 would be a good target year for a strong run, and I still think that.

The retool/rebuild is halfway there, but the resources to continue building are dwindling.

If Parker has the impact I think he can have, the focus should be on strengthening that side of the ball while not compromising on OL/protecting Dak for 2027.

They have a good shot but your argument is unfair. The rams look like they have the greatest team assembled in the last 30 years. Garrett and Donald on defense along with the reigning MVP and OPOY level player in Puka and your notion is Dak just needs to “push himself” is pretty ridiculous. The rams really might stream roll the whole league this year

It's a two-year window, maybe three, regardless of Parker.

This team is going to be rebuilding in 2030 unless Dak is A) still playing at an extremely high level and B) has been to a Super Bowl.

All eyes will be more on Parker this season. Everyone knows the offense is a top 5 for sure, if not higher.

Superman couldn’t win a SB with the defenses the Cowboys have had of late.

IIRC, I believe Parker himself has said something to the effect of "The next DC of the Dallas Cowboys is already on the staff", meaning they are already grooming the next one to take Parker's place should he get a HC job. However I could not find a direct quote so maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

CP is on the fast track to become a HC soon. We can only hope a member on the defensive staff will be able to take over and not follow CP where he ends up.

It does take time to completely overhaul a defense from the coaches to the players. They’re off to a good start.

Donald is aging and imo dallas has a better dline. With an aging adams, dallas is better at wr. You are not giving dallas enough credit. In fact, I wouldn't put dallas below the rams, I would put them neck and neck if not better.

Then again its also up to parker, he could decide to stay here after a good season, while turning down a HC offer, but that would be insane.

Depends on how much he loves it here, and if he wants to continue building what he has already started.

Him leaving in 2 years doesn’t mean system does. You develop those under him and move them up. Other franchises change DC but keep the core of the system

Stopped reading here due to delusion from OP.
You know, the sad part about this is that fans like yourself have been so programmed that mediocrity is the norm, over the last 30 years, and 20plus years under Romo and Dak, that you believe any talk of success is delusional.

You need fandom resuscitation, instant.

I think you've forgotton about Myles Garrett lol. LAR is also much better at CB.

I actually think Dallas' offense can be better but the defense isn't there.
