NFL execs predict the NFC standings

I got Dallas going 14-3 and losing the first playoff game at home by 40 because thats who they are

The lions and cowboys should feel like this is their last real chance and that would be an awesome conference title game wouldn’t it?

I dont see it that way for the cowboys. I think this is a building season and they try make a run the next 2 seasons.

Such a mixed bag for me right now.

Detroit is trending down, IMO. The window is over and now they need to prove to themselves they can retool.

But I'm not so sure Chicago is exactly trending up. They didn't exactly get better this offseason and they had some pretty fluky wins that are unlikely to be repeated.
Don’t pay too much attention to these predictions. There will be many changes that affect every team just like it does every year.

Cowboys are going to be good. Everybody on the outside sees it already. For some reason, and understandably so, most people in here don’t want to acknowledge it yet.

Im riffing on the idea that local Dallas media are Jerry’s sock puppets and that the hype out of them is so big that it’s reaching national media
No, they’re just capable of seeing what you aren’t seeing yet. And that’s that this team is very good.

They are going to have to make a conference championship to see it. I’m stating to believe and if I get let down oh well.

Now NFL executives make super-secret votes for ranking teams. One voter is a 'former GM'. There would be dire consequences if his name was leaked...

...ring ring...
Good morning. Arizona Cardinals. How may I direct your call?
Hi. I'm super-secret AGENT man. Mr. Bidwell left a message to return his call.
One moment please. Your name is super-secret AGENT man?
Yes.
Mr. Bidwell placed you on his blacklist. You voted for the team to finish last in the conference, even though we did. Good-bye. click
Hello? Hello? Dang you, New York Times!

I just want the entire team (coaches, players, front office, ownership) locked in, focused week to week/play to play and improving every week to week.

Obviously, they need to stay healthy but it is on the coaches, front office, and ownership to ensure their depth is the best they have had in years. Forget about the pie and how it is split. Focus on only the 2026 season.

As an aside, am I wrong for wanting the Packers to have a good year as well as the Cowboys? Want the Jets to get the lower of two playoff teams picks. I'd be sick if the Pack stink and their pick is a top 10 pick in a deep 2027 draft.

That is because too many homers, year after year, thought it was our year because Jerruh said so.

^ This.

In my opinion, it is all good unless you are rooting for other teams to win. Teams win, lose and/or tie all the time. It will happen regardless, so it is not necessary to get personally invested in what other teams do or not do.

That’s fine. It’s not really relevant. If people arent capable of differentiating when we are good and when we aren’t on their own then that’s their own issue.
