I'm expecting 6-8 sacks and some mentoring from Miller. Realistically if below is what the leading sackers look like and then there's a host of other guys contributing 1-3 each I think the Cowboys could have a pretty formidable pass rush without having a superstar on the edge. Still hoping we have someone breakout to be that guy like Ezeiruaku, Lawrence, Houston, etc. but don't necessarily need that to be a good pass rushing team.

Miller played 30% of the defensive snaps last year and had 9 sacks. At 36 years of age. That is obscene. He gets out of bed sacking the QB.

Love a vet presence in the locker room. Especially on the defensive side of the ball, specifically the edge rusher room. It is needed and necessary.

However, my concern with the production from that edge position will not be alleviated until I see success on the field. Success equals sacks, pressures that lead to turnovers, and forcing indecision by the QB and OC.

If that comes from the young guys being guided by Von Miller, great. If it comes from Gary and Miller putting up numbers with Von Miller feeling underpaid, great. If it comes from them adding a true elite edge via trade, great. Just make it happen.

Lead by being a voice in the locker room and by example, please.
