Outlook before the regular season

I like that players want to win a Superbowl/Championship. But they need to keep those 2 words in the locker room, not the media.

I know that owners want the fans every season to feel like they're last year's Seattle in the making, Champions! But players need to keep those 2 words Championship/Superbowl in the locker room, not the media.

The words I like them using ie, COMPETE, IMPROVE, GRIND, IRON SHARPENS IRON, LEARN WITH/FROM & HELP MY BROTHER. This can't be said and implemented enough. I like that I'm hearing and feel that it is genuine talk and seems to be in action.

Positive is good and this team I believe is improved in many ways as an overall team before we get to see the reality of a regular season, hopefully playoffs.

Nuggets that I want to put out there in the NFC:

- Seattle's the reigning Superbowl Champs.

- Philly were the champs 2 years ago and are our current divisional Champs. 2 years in a row. Other than trading Brown, they have made additions to an already loaded roster.

- The Rams are absolutely loaded, the Superbowl is hosted in their stadium this year and they have last Year's offensive MVP and defensive MVP on both sides of the ball. Aaron Donald most likely isn't who we saw last, but 70-80% of that guy beside Byron Young and Myles Garrett, especially on passing downs? They may have the best corner tandem in the league. They had the #1 offense in the league last year, not us. They're definitely the favorite to win the whole thing and could have clearly won it last year.

-Chicago is on an upswing. Big time!

- Detroit is still around and a year removed from a totally injured yet loaded roster from season's past.

- We can't forget our achilles heal the 49er's. If they're healthy they're loaded too and Mike Evans can still go 1 on 1 with any corner in this league. No drop off on Run CMC as we saw last year. Nick Bosa and Fred Warner come back.

- Green Bay we're better than this year but they're still a matchup, especially later in the season.

- Divisional games, even though we should be better than WAS and NY, they are never gimme's. Giants have alot of young talent, a coach who's won in this league a long time and they should only get better as the season goes on. That means tougher games down the line.

- Carolina, Tampa Bay and Atlanta are all teams that have a chance at the playoffs also.

Our DC has not called any plays in a regular season game yet. But I feel promise there and on that side of the ball improving overall. Teams won't have much film on Christian Parker's play calling so that can be a plus also.

Now for my before the regular season opinion. I'm excited about the season and am always a fan of this team. This is going to be an interesting season, they usually are. I regretfully do not think we are Superbowl bound this season but will make the playoffs in a grind to do so. Also a young team that will show great improvement. We need to win our 1st 2 games and if we can beat Baltimore in Brazil, I like our chances of making the playoffs even more as we'll start 3-0. The schedule right after that is going to be very difficult and I hope we can split those games. Philly will be winning games, make no mistake about that. They didn't need Brown last year to win and they don't need him this season either. So we will be in a race with them, while the Giants grow and get competitive in the division. Dan Quinn won't be Washington's HC next season.

If we look good and need more ammunition, get an opportunity for a difference making player for this season and the future. Jerry would use our 1st and/or 2nd picks, as the NFC is in an arms race with the Rams.

I think 10-7 sounds about right. 11 wins wouldn't surprise me but neither would 9.

I'm real worried about RT and that's what can slow this offense down. Especially if we're playing from behind.

I do think we're better than Green Bay.

It's a toss up between us and Chicago.

Don't sleep on Philly.

Seahawks another year together will look better than they did in the regular season and let's not forget how they looked in their last game, the Superbowl.

I went with 11-6 but that was a cop out pick.

Dallas tends to have some unexpectedly good regular seasons, but also in the 4-5 win range if the QB is lost.

This team is probably either going to go 13-4 or like 5-12.

Meaning, many things go right, or they lose the QB and it’s over. I don’t see an in between, and I can’t see this as a team that’s building like 1991. This is the cap era and you either win now or you won’t.

Not offended at all and your outlook/opinions are warranted. Sometimes through type it can seem that way.

Garrett will be playing week 1. If not then these reports will be substantiated.

Detroits got a very young team. They went through their 2 coordinators leaving in the past 2 years and a plethora of major injuries to top players. They will be a player and a physical matchup nightmare for the league as usual. This teams like Baltimore, that after playing them you feel it for the rest of the season.

San Fran: Outside distractions do effect a team but this is a vet team with one of the best head coaches in the league. Here’s another team that went through all kinds of significant injuries. Nick Bosa and Fred Warner mainly. Still competed in the toughest division in football and made the playoffs. They’ll have those players back and have a better WR core this year.

So everything is up for opinion as always on a forum and during preseason. But the Rams, Lions and 49ers are definitely competitive teams in the NFC and complicate/challenge our hopeful journey to the playoffs, an NFC championship game and ultimately the Super Bowl.

It's funny because when Myles Garrett does his press conference when joining the Rams. The first thing he says, "yes, it all looks good on paper but we have to go out and do the work".

Dallas is better than you think; by a considerable amount. Eagles are worse than you think. Eagles offense is going to be trash this season. Dallas will win the division and they’re better than anyone in the nfc not named LA or Seattle. We will see if Dallas is in the top tier with those two or the tier below.

Eagles had a lot of coaches leave including a good OL coach and a good passing game coordinator. It will be fun to see how that turns out.
