I agree with Dak tho, I am still surprised that he wasn’t claimed. Now that this whole thing is over I am still surprised he wasn’t claimed with this being a QB driven league and him having made progress from last year. Now I hope we can protect him from getting poached from the PS. But Dak is right in this one. It is a surprise, well it was to me.

I think a lot of teams will look at the other tape besides the pre-season Cardinals game. He was terrible in every other game, including the last pre-season game against the Saints. He reverted to his real self. Million $$ arm, zero $$ touch and ability to read real NFL defenses.

How'd you get terrible from what others called 2 good starts and one questionable one? Even the one drive against the Saints ended with a good contested catch...not a poor read or throw. There was like one media personality who thought Howell was #2 after 2 preseason games. This feels like being prisoner of the last moment...I don't think teams evaluate talent that way. If they did, we wouldn't signed Rashan Gary...Packers fans trashed him for his performance over last 4 games and the playoffs.

Dak was never threatened by any QB the cowboys brought in. Dudes making top QB money, that along buys him grace even if he has a down year or another injury. But moreover we know with a healthy Dak this offense is a juggernaut to deal with and that sells which is what Jerry cares about.
