ThisI think the natural spots argument has lost its time window. By next year Guyton will be on year 4 in the nfl and played nothing but LT. Hes spent more time at LT than he has RT between both the college and pro level. His muscle memory is that of a LT at this point and swapping him is a total restart for the guy.
The only way I entertain this is if Guyton flops again this year as a last chance move to salvage the player.
Yeah, that is probably the only way. We need the two best tackles on the field, wherever they are best, if that ends up being Jones at LT and Guyton at RT, so be it, but Guyton has spent all his time as a pro at LT and Jones has spent more of his time as a pro at RT (and will likely do so again this year). I don't think it is in their best interest to keep moving them unless they struggle at what you are asking them to do now.I think the natural spots argument has lost its time window. But how do fans know what that is. The coaches know better.yes be real nasty jerry and shotty and play these guys where it makes most sense and where THE players are comfortable, maybe that'll give better output!
They will not cut Guyton. What mess?If they cut Terence Steele in March…

Basically a 16.7M cap hit in 2027 to cleanup this mess.
Plus the loss of the 3rd for the Jones trade.
I hope it does carry over but he’s been hyped up the last two preseasons too. They will not cut Guyton. What mess?
Fans scream a player sucks and everyone jumps on.
The coaches said he had a great TC. No reason that should not carry over into the season.
Yup.I hope it does carry over but he’s been hyped up the last two preseasons too.
I’ll be so happy once the games start and we have hard data instead of hope and assumptions.
Guyton played right tackle at OU because their qb was left handed.yes be real nasty jerry and shotty and play these guys where it makes most sense and where THE players are comfortable, maybe that'll give better output!
Yup.
Guyton can’t block.
Steele can’t block.
Jones can’t block.
and so of course the same guys that said Phil Costa was a starting center in the NFL should be trustedBut how do fans know what that is. The coaches know better.
Fans think they know better but they really do not. Well most do not.
Steele can hang on as swing tackle can't he? Yeah, expensive but it'll be a year or maybe two. I think we can rename him Terence Aluminum. If they cut Terence Steele in March…
