2027 Jones LT. Guyton RT. They natural spots. I understand this year, but down the line be nasty

Nothing but positive things heard about Guyton so far in camp.

problem is pretty much nothing but bad about steele
 
IF Guyton can hold his own with minimal help, we can manage Steele even though it means a TE pretty much always there to help. That handicaps us somewhat BUT with Lamb and Pickens the effect is not that great.

I think a key this season might be a really good receiving RB coming out of the backfield. Opposing defenses are going to need to put so much effort into containing Lamb and Pickens that a RB could do a lot of damage that way.
Also the #3 WR might be more important then the TE this season because of all of this.

As a fan, I think its in the best interest of the team to replace a player that cant play.

That’s OK, I just think before you get rid of somebody you should know who the replacement is going to be, and if he’s already on the team, well then who’s going back up who’s the replacement for the replacement?

Romo's first offensive line was basically made up of 1st round rejects learning new positions. That O-line made more Pro Bowls than any other team during a six year period from 2003 to 2008

Leonard Davis was the 2nd overall pick in the 2001 draft. The Cardinals tried him at LT for his last three seasons there and they decided not to resign him. He was considered a bust and a terrible LT.

The Cowboys took him and turned him into the RG where he made the Pro Bowl for three consecutive seasons.
So he was considered a bust at his natural position but made the Pro Bowl his first season at a new position.

Marc Columbo was a 1st round draft pick in 2002, was considered a bust and started only 7 games in his first five seasons. He played LT.

The Cowboys took Columbo and made him their RT where he thrived. He played all 16 games in four of his next five seasons.

Andre Gurode, a Cowboys 2nd round pick, struggled at RG for three seasons. When they switched him to center he made five consecutive Pro Bowls.

A great O-line coach and/or coordinator will find the best 5 O-linemen and then fit them into positions that make the team more successful.

Disagree that OLT was the natural position for BIGG.

Guyton has played at LT since he got here over 2 yrs ago. Why would you think RT is where he's more comfortable?

Steele never could pass block, and now he's being hindered by previous injuries. It really looks like he's just done in the NFL.

Yes, and Guyton makes the most sense at OLT. By far. He doesn't have the skillset for ORT.
