What if Dak has a Matt Ryan 2016 year

You do realize Pickens was not considered a top receiver before Dak?

And he's getting more opportunities taken away here by another top receiver. In Pittsburgh, he didn't have this problem because they had nobody else to throw to.

Even when he's had had Lamb eat away at more of his targets here, he's still greatly increased his numbers. What could the reason for that be? Pickens took a hop and ride on the magic bus?

Could it be he finally has a Top 5 QB throwing to him?
Pickens wasn't "considered" a top receiver but he's not doing anything here he didn't do in Pittsburgh. He just finally has consistency and yes, a better QB throwing to him. But make no mistake, he was pretty prolific already even with his cast of QB characters prior. And he did have to share balls with Diontae Johnson all his years except his last there. Good job of scouting by the front office in going to get him.

He was considered an elite receiver by the Cowboys. Turns out they were right.

I fully acknowledge the qb credit/blame game is ridiculous both ways. Both hurts/Darnold are decent QBs, just nothing special. I think we are firmly in an era where average QB play allows you to be a legitimate contender. Dak more than fits that criteria, we’ve just inflated the QB position to the point it might be the most overrated position in all of sports.
Overrated is subjective. It’s still the most important position. You can’t have a bad game a a qb and win in the playoffs or SB. In other sports your best player can get away with that. I don’t think Darnold gets enough credit for what he’s done. With the Vikings and Seahawks.

Stafford was putting up great numbers in Detroit.
He was doing what you guys claim Dak does…”stat pad”. And for the record I’m not knocking Stafford to me even with one of the best receivers of all time he still needed more. I’m just saying his days in Detroit were a failure not because of him but because they didn’t build up a proper team like the Rams.

Every QB "stat pats."
The fact is he played better than Dak.

You wanna talk piss poor passes while being a defender of Dak???

I'm guessing I watched Detroit while Stafford was there more than you. Never heard this term used in connection with him. Neither has Google search.

Hypocrisy? When have I ever said overall team talent doesn't matter? Everyone should want to put as much talent on the field as possible. But I can distinguish between a high level talent who doesn't have enough around him or when a low level talent can't take advantage of the the talent around them.

You couldn’t have seen more than me because you don’t remember how he played. You see a side throw and a 50 yard bomb to Megatron and just say whatever. My point was never Stafford was bad or have anything to even do with Dak. You’ve went on a side quest to involve Dakota and I know that’s the game on this site. Guys will defend Stafford harder than their own team lol…..but this was never about who’s better. It was about how Stafford looked in Detroit vs Rams and it somehow got back to Dak.

It’s for sure a hyprocrisy. He played with one of the greatest receivers of all times and even had the #1 defense in the league one year.
Well, we don't have either one.
Nope but hopefully we don’t need it.

The thread was about Dak. You brought Stafford into it by denigrating him.

I think Stafford is better than Dak. As is Allen and Mahomes. And Burrow.... tho I think if Dak really goes on an MVP tear.... he'll usurp Burrow for sure, and possibly Stafford and maybe even Allen.

I think Dak is Top 5 after Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Stafford. No wonder 3 out of 4 First Things First guys pick him for MVP

Actually it's spot on and everyone knows it. Your obsession is clearly rooted in some deep childhood inferiorities. How embarrassing and sad that you spend your time on another team's message board pretending to be a fan of that team just so you can get your little digs in, in a hopeless attempt to reverse some scars from your "little brother" childhood.
Oh boy

Someone is triggered.

Paranoia AND low IQ comments. What a combination. Yuck.

You’re the poster child for “Fair Weather T-Shirt Fan”.
News flash: there are no more fair weather Cowboys fans in existence.

We're missing a key ingredient for those: fair weather. 30 years of overcast with 70% chance of light afternoon showers (the most boring type of weather possible) doesn't qualify.

It's what happens when someone has their head so far up Dak's butt they lose the ability to form common sense and reason.

I wonder who @Yobwocs will latch onto next when #4 is finally gone. She will have to find a new victim to stalk.
It's actually beyond my comprehension believing that somebody is so blinded that they actually think that....bizarre, and that's not a knock on Dak, it's just called reality of the situation Dak is fortunate to be in

So here's how i see things:

I know it feels like Dak will never reach a Super Bowl, but I say..... it feels like it won't happen until it happens.

Numbers and esteem in the league would say Dak was better regarded than Ryan before the landmark Ryan year.

New coach, new defense, new system, new ideology..... you never know. And if Terrence Steele is the weak link, make a trade mid year.... give a needy team something they want we have more of for a Right Tackle.
You want the SB flop too ?
