I'm not a Hurts fan but he definitely came through in the SB. Reid said Barkley isn't going to beat us and challenged Hurts. Hurts won that battle.

I fully acknowledge the qb credit/blame game is ridiculous both ways. Both hurts/Darnold are decent QBs, just nothing special. I think we are firmly in an era where average QB play allows you to be a legitimate contender. Dak more than fits that criteria, we’ve just inflated the QB position to the point it might be the most overrated position in all of sports.

Both of them came through when it was all on the line. Dak, not so much.

Just like Brock Purdy, Drake Maye, and Jared Goff aren't better than Josh Allen because they've been one round further once. And Sam Darnold and Jalen Hurts isn't better than Dak or Herbert because their organizations and general managements are better.

No, Detroit was a dumpster fire for the majority of Stafford & Johnson's time there. As in 8 losing seasons out of 12 for Stafford. The had a 2 win & a 4 win season mixed in.

We've certainly had some of the same issues but not nearly to the level Detroit had. Our dumpster wasn't even smoking for most of those years.

Both are bad organizations. How bad is a discussion of lesser importance.

Lets see how this team plays against good teams on the road. If it's the usual 35-10 drubbing, like it is every time we play the 49ers and Bills on the road, then it really doesn't matter what Dak's stats are the rest of the year. Win or lose, we have to at least be competitive in those games.
