That’s what I’ve been saying for a year now. The change is a year underway and is a work in progress. “This team”, every year the team is different, hasn’t faced rounds coming from down range yet. Sunday night the live fire begins.

I would like to believe there has been significant culture change but not buying yet. I do like the presence the new DC brings, but still Jerry and Jerry World. However, I do appreciate him being more aggressive in bringing in FAs to win now.

I'm with you for sure, I see what Shotty is doing, and a drama free off season, with lots of talent added so I'm optimistic, but the other side of me still believes because Jerry is still alive we are cursed.

Hopefully if there is a change of culture the penalties will go down a lot. Its been a big problem for like 20 years in dallas.

Speaking of how to handle thongs when adversity comes up.
Smith out 4 to 6 weeks with a thumb injury.
Is this the first adversity?

Or is it not as bad as it seems? I ask, because many feel both OT’s are the offenses weak links. Then you remove another link in that chain.

Ref the bold - is that what people think 'culture change' means? Whomever believes that couldn't be more wrong. Jerry keeping his mouth shut doesn't point to culture change. It doesn't signify anything. Contracts? Off field issues? They mean nothing.

The culture that needed changing is coming from the front office, not the HC or DC or even the players. The owner has to start giving a damn about competing for championships, not just doing enough to hang around the rim, not just doing enough to to remain relevant and interesting, like they have done every year for the past 20 plus years.

The culture has been bad because the coaching staff and players recognize that winning isn't important enough to Jerry and Stephen. How do you think they react when they see Stephen mock the 30 year drought? They see a team president who doesn't give a damn about winning. When they see their GM not lift a finger in free agency what message does that send?

When the front office starts demanding excellence and starts really going all-in like the Iggs and Rams do every other year, only then will you see a real culture change. The message will be very clear if that ever happens.

I / we have to see it come from the mouths of Jerry and Stephen first, but more importantly it has to be backed up by their actions. The HC can talk crap every day, but if the support and dedication isn't coming from the front office this 'culture change' everyone thinks they are witnessing is a massive mirage.



Maybe others have a different opinion of what they think 'culture' means, but this is what I think it means. It means everyone from the top down being on the same page and having shared goals. That hasn't existed in Dallas since Jimmy Johnson left 32 years ago. And just because Jerry has apparently decided to finally keep his mouth shut, that doesn't mean the 'culture' has changed.

He had some bad players. But if he was good coach, he could’ve done a better job than that. Also, the players never bought in to Eberflus.

The best way to know if your team has a great culture is when it is tested by adversity.

The Tyler Smith injury is the first adversity this team will face this year. And it won’t be the last.

We will be finding out a lot about our culture in the next few weeks. I’m looking forward to watching how our team handles it.

Micah was not going to make that bog of a difference.
Eberflus had a lot of issues, injuries was part of it. However his refusal to adjust and change when thong s were not working add him that bad as well.

You are trying to make it those are excuses to use against Jerry for certain reasons.

Do you think Parsons playing in Dallas would have made any difference in the way the defense played?

He who holds the power sets the culture and that has not changed.

I’m amazed fans actually believe Ol’ Schotty or any other hc hired in Dallas has any affect on the team’s culture.
