He's a physical run defender that offers nothing against the pass, which is the main reason he was cheap. Good rotational player to give Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams some early-down relief. Ogbonnia is essentially the third down lineman when we are in the 3-4 fronts, but Bullard is a player who can rotate into any of the three spots as necessary. He just isn't likely to be out there when we are in nickel alignments.
And I though Eze showed more as a run stopper than pass rusher last year, which is why I expect him to be the other OLB in the 3-4 sets. I think ideally we play Houston and Miller at end in the 4-2-5 sets, mixing in Lawrence some and hopefully more as the season progresses.
Yes, and defensive tackle was a major weakness for this team in years past. Dallas has built one of the best defensive tackle units in the league. Safety is also a strong group that used to be a weakness here. Dallas should be strong against the run with Quinnen and Clark and Gary. Winters and Barham will be free to make tackles behind them, and Caleb Downs at nickel along with Thompson at safety should really improve this Dallas run defense.

That may be true when he gets on the field but he's not stealing reps from at least two to three other players in front of him but I do admit they kept him here because he's got a physicality to him a mean streak and it seems like there's a lot of guys on this team that now fit that profile..
I agree with you the change has been top to bottom not just starters. When I look at the practice squad this time last year a lot of these guys would be on the 53 and half getting pt.
Gary and Eze will be our starting OLBs/ends, with Gary probably moving inside on passing downs, next to Quinnen.
He may not get to the Qb but the way he moves the pocket should help with limiting the Qb from stepping up to avoid the edge rush.
No one thought enough of him to offer him more than Dallas' 1-year, $2-million deal. So I'm not expecting a whole lot. Cheap players are cheap for a reason.
