Raiders tell him he has a choice either become a TE or get cut and he gives in and has a fine career there.

What a BEAST Mark Tuinei turned out at offensive Left Tackle. Came on board as an undrafted free agent in 1983. Spent the next 2 years wrongly played as a Defensive Tackle. In 1985, Tuienei was switched to the Oline where he played at Left Tackle. The rest was history from there.

How many 1st round picks do you want to spend on the OL?

The Cowboys needed to rebuild the defense. Adding yet another 1st round OL wouldn't have helped the D in any way.

OT is still the worst part of the offense and it’s not even close.

Adams play action, the the interior oline, and Dak’s elite sack avoidance are the only thing that allowed last seasons offense to be successful as they were

All three tackles were horrible and other than hoping and praying Guyton has a breakthrough, they are again going to rely on Dak's presnap reads, Adams play action schemes and opponents respect do the run, and the interior oline’s ability to allow Dak to step up into the pocket.

OT has to be a very high priority in 2027. They had to wait until the fourth round to address it and even then they ended up with a player who so far appears physically weak they got bullied by other teams backups. Combine that with an underperforming rehab acquisition and there’s really no realistic help on the way this year.

The only option, short of despair, is to huff the hopium, so we’re going to have to strap on our mask and turned the knob up to 11.

Dumb front office and coaches should have kept Brock Hoffman and placed him at Left Guard which he played some during college. Move Tyler Smith to his natural college position at Left Tackle. Then move Tyler Guyton to his natural college position at Right Tackle.

In college, Guyton played RT with a left-handed QB. That means his ‘natural college position’ was blindside tackle. His position in Dallas is blindside tackle.

RT at Dallas is a totally different position, with different protections, etc - because it’s frontside, which he has literally never played before in his career.

He played ROT in college his senior year but it's not his natural OT position.

We've been over this many times in here AC.

Also, Smith has said previously he has no desire to play LT

Depends on this season. If Guyton struggles once again this 3rd season while playing Left Tackle, would you consider moving him to Right Tackle, or are you set on letting him continue to struggle or even fail at Left Tackle?

Similarly happened to Nate Newton. Cowboys started playing him at Left Tackle where he failed miserably. Then they moved him to Right Tackle where he struggled as well. Finally when they moved him inside to Left Guard is where Nate Newton became a 6x Pro Bowl selection and two first-team All-Pro honors at the position.
