When Did You Buy into Camden Brown Making the 53-Man Cut?

I'm trying to figure out who's winning this argument mingo has sucked at football up to this point as well so exactly where are we at Or are we saying that speed doesn't matter if you can catch a football at a slower speed like Brown can I mean Camden Brown right now is just big pile of Hopium He is basically Noah Brown with better hands you know Noah Brown came from a good school right done some pretty good things in the NFL in real games so we'll see what Camden Brown the other Brown can do..

Because I can tell you this Camden Brown has done absolutely zero in the NFL when it comes to real games the same as Milton has done nothing in a real game cooper Rush has done more then Milton in real games and he's really not better he's just had more opportunities i'm just trying to figure out where you're trying to convince me that a bunch of players that have looked good in practice and preseason are supposed to be better than players who have actually done more in the regular season against real teams and real situations..

I do agree camden looks like he has some upside even though he's not that fast but I don't see him being better than Noah Brown They they're very very close in proximity but I've seen Noah Brown both do really good things and really bad things in real games i've seen Camden Brown do absolutely nothing in a real game yet you do realize we need to see it not hear it I don't wanna know about the talk.

Do you know this the Dallas Cowboys offense first and foremost has a very limited amount of balls at most 60 snaps a game They're gonna run the ball 1/3 of the time maybe more of those snaps And then you have this guy named CD Lamb The other guy named Pickens another guy named Ferguson another guy named Turpin I mean would you try to tell me how you think Camden Brown is gonna make an impact this year regardless of he's solid because I'm also missing that guy named Flournoy who is already worked hard to make his mark and were worried about WR6?


I'm a Cowboys fan I hope all these dudes play great and they work out but I think we're talking too much about 3rd stringers 4 stringers 5th stringers 6 stringers and I don't care who reads this I'm right you guys are talking way too much about Milton and Camden Brown just as much as some guys try to convince me that Trig should make this team over Schoonmaker..

But at least I've seen SchoonMaker make some catches in real games Just being serious here have you seen any real catches from Camden Brown in actual real NFL game it's like guys telling me that Jeremiah Smith you know the guy from Ohio State who was talked about as much as Marvin Harrison junior it's supposed to be better already than CD Lamb and Pickens that's what I saw on Twitter is that what you're trying to tell me that guys who have never done a thing in a real game in the NFL are already better than some of the dudes have done things in the NFL anything in the NFL?

But people also over eight guys who've done things in pre season and practice and done nothing in the actual regular season when it counted real games real moments So I can see both sides of this you better bring something to the table because the Cowboys don't have enough balls to go around to worry about Camden Brown They have so many guys in front of him in real games when it matters to worry about how the hell we're having a debate about the third quarterback in the 6th receiver I mean if you want to put on 5 that's OK at this point he's not anything more than that..

Don't get me wrong I like the kid but somehow you're trying to convince me I should listen to people who think he's gonna be something in the NFL when he's done absolutely nothing not one real catch in a real game when it mattered and nothing that's impactful show me an impact Cats by Camden Brown and we can talk because Turpin has had impact catches You may not remember them but he has..

Yeah but probably on a different level than some other people I mean to me it's a hobby it's a passion I have a few others of those you know like wake boarding and surfing and snowboarding but this falls in line with one of my top passions and I'm very serious about it at times..

Just saying there's things called casual fans there's even some bandwagon fans I'm not one of those I am one of the long longtime fan that's just not gonna probably ever stop being a fan regardless of how well they play or if they ever win another championship I don't care..

I bought in after what I saw him do in the preseason Seahawks game. Practice does not sell me. What a player does or does not do in a simulated game, even against backups, matters to me. At minimum, for wide receivers and tight ends, I want to see receptions caught within the player's catch radius. High/low passes. Throws placed in front and behind. Adjusting by jumping or diving for the ball. Fighting successfully for positional advantage against their defender.

A wide receiver's number one responsibility is catching catchable passes because no quarterback will ever throw perfect passes 100% of the time. It is still their job to haul in catchable passes, not the quarterback's.

I watched Michael Irvin coaching up Brown in @Xizor's thread. Irvin has always been supportive of any Cowboys player he has ever met. He has always lent his expertise to anyone. Irvin advises defensive players on what they should be looking for. That is the kind of guy he is.

What Irvin does not do is overhype the potential he sees in a young receiver. He knows what it takes. Irvin sees All-Pro potential in Brown. He likely bought in well before I did.

Steve Largent ran a 4.8 40. 40-time folks would criticize him too.

The speed counterargument will always be filled with holes. Dependable hands and an ability to convert downs and net touchdowns will put speed in its rightful place.

WRs with 4.61 speed are at a disadvantage. They are limited to the boundary/possession role. This works if they can catch, which Cam seems to have that ability..

Too slow for slot and they can’t stretch the field.

Which is why we saw Cam get dragged down on the long run he had in preseason.

If someone gets hurt, he might get more game reps.
