It is bad enough not knowing one of the NFL's current premier players. It is worse when the player's name is listed on the back of his jersey, just like every Cowboys player's jersey.

The coaching staff considered him an undependable guy, which contributed to him getting waived. Players are generally considered dependable when coaches select them to run the wildcat. I would think the coaches rue the lack of a strong candidate to run the wildcat before Jaydon Blue was cut.

James Mitchell? Maybe, but he has never even thrown a trick play pass in the NFL during the limited opportunities he has been on the field in four seasons. And I am not confident a tight end with limited experience would be asked to run between the tackles. I wonder how fast he is? There would be off-tackle run players but those would work against him if he lacks speed.

Wasn't that the Eagles/49ers championship game in the 2022 season? On top of it happening very rarely, I'll bet most, if not every time it happened, it didn't matter anyway. Like in that championship game.

Most teams have 2nd string QB issues. Very few teams have a capable 3rd string QB. Is it worth taking up a spot on the 53? Where does that other player go?

Howell is much more mobile, has a much stronger arm, and is more accurate than Rush.

Howell is all these things over Milton minus the arm strength.

This is more akin to having 2 1/2 QBs on the roster. Because the third QB reads defenses on a 3rd grade level.
