Can't believe I didn't consider that...2 are retired. So that changes my answer.

Just my opinion. It does trigger some folks. Era comparisons are silly. Can't believe I didn't consider that...

Your take on Troy is simply not accurate.Behind Troy's OL, with his weapons, and his defense - Troy, Dak
Behind the bad OLs with sorry defenses - Romo, Dak
Behind decent OL and weapons, sorry defense - Troy, Romo
Behind so so OL, only 1 decent WR, and so so defense - Troy, Dak
Behind last year's team - Romo, Dak
Troy was never a big producer....he was precise, accurate, detailed, winner, but he was not good when his weapons and OL deteriorated or when his defense was bad....he was easily demoralized.
Tony was the guy to have if everything on offense was in place, but the defense stunk....he would gamble and put up big numbers that might be needed.
Dak falls somewhere between the two of them regarding his strengths, accuracy, production, leadership, and limits.
No thoughts! Oh well seems like a solid opinion win some lose some. Now this will be unpopular but I'm going to say it any way! Keep in mind I am 59 years old so unlike many here I saw Troy in his prime. The only thing that gives me pause is when Emmitt was out Troy would come up short just like Romo and Dak and that was with everyone else intact. He would have some of his worse games until 22 was back out there setting the tempo. Then Troy would go down and people like Garrett and Kosar would step in and win games not like Troy but still a win with the back up was huge. SO i said all that to say i would need to see Romo and Dak with the coaching and Teamates Troy had to make a fair assesment.
Interesting to wonder why. It’s crazy because I think some of the most gruesome injuries I’ve seen have probably been in the last 10 years. Dak holding his foot as it dangled still is a crazy image. Jaylon Smith was nuts to. Alex Smiths…..reading how he almost lost his leg….i don’t recall these in the 90s not saying they didn’t take hits because I’ve seen some hits Troy took look like car crashes.
