That could happen or they can use it on Pickens next year. With 30 mil of space it looks like we will make a trade using our 1st next year and possibly our 2nd in 28. Someone will call Jerry knowing he's itching to make a trade

Too early in the year for teams to make trades. They will wait to see how the season unfolds by week7 or 8.That could happen or they can use it on Pickens next year.
Wild, wild guess on my part but keep an eye on Joey Porter Jr. I'm hearing the Steelers have made him an offer but it's not close to what he wants. Could we see a Pickens 2.0......Jerry trades our 2nd-round pick with the idea of having him for at least 2 years ( 2026 and 2027 tag ). This would basically lock down our CB position.
Jeopardy: Who is Jerry Jones, GM of Dallas Cowboys![]()
"I'd like to solve the puzzle"
Pat - "Go ahead"
"The moron who likes to hear himself talk"
Pat - "You win!"
A brilliant move by Jones, a loaded 2027 draft class and we are trading our picks away.If he does it, all the fans who have been saying to go for it will suddenly pivot and complain about not having any draft picks in next year’s draft, lol.
If the right deal is available, nothing wrong with making move.A brilliant move by Jones, a loaded 2027 draft class and we are trading our picks away.
Jerry is a very good trader. Recently has done all this:
- The two trades he just pulled off in the draft were perfect. Nicely done but not the same as most teams are adhering to a trade chart
- The Parsons trade was too - the Cowboys have already won that trade. Remains to be seen, certainly should have extracted more from Packers
- Gary for just a 4th? Slight overpay (as of now)
- Quinnen Williams Remains to be seen but I believe an overpay
- Winters for just a 5th? Nothing to get excited about
- Getting B. Jones by just moving up half a round and a 6th? OK
- Getting a 3rd for Odighizuwa. Good trade
Coaches need an influx of new talent each year to work with. Having 2 first round picks this year, getting back a 3rd and a new Defensive Coordinator has provided a great deal of energy to the team and excitement.A brilliant move by Jones, a loaded 2027 draft class and we are trading our picks away.
“with Broderick Jones' trade taking care of offense”
Ok, this is just nuts. The dude has seriously underperformed his entire career, was the Steelers Mazi, had spinal fusion, is still working on increasing his weight, strength and conditioning and he’s “taking care of offense”
And we gave up what will likely still net out in the trade math as a third round pick, in he deepest draft in a decade or more.
I’ve been on board with the coaching changes, and was ok with getting a bunch of B+ or below players in our earlier trades and free agency. It was probably the best we could do with what we have.
But setting a 3rd round pick on fire in exchange for a guy who will not make a significant contribution this year and is a free agent in six months really bothers me.
complain if he does nothing - complain when he doesLOL, he plans on torching all our picks in the 2027 draft.
Or just hire a real GMMaybe next time don’t let your rookie DC run the draft.
Jerry knew we needed help at LT/ RT
