I have more hope this year with the improvements we’ve made this off-season. Fingers crossed, good luck charm grabbed, and hopes as high as I’ve had in several years. We are soooo overdue for a playoff run.

Maybe we can finally catch the jags, jets, cardinals, panthers and falcons in playoff wins over the last 30 years! WHAT?? ARE YOU SERIOUS??

Yes…Hard to believe the last 30 years some of the NFL’s worst bottom feeders have been better than us in the playoffs! TIME TO CHANGE THIS COWBOYS!

WAIT…These teams have more playoff wins than the Cowboys the last 30 years?
  • Arizona Cardinals - 6 playoff wins. 2 NFC championship appearances, 1 SB appearance.
  • NY Jets - 7 playoff wins, 3 AFC championship games
  • Jacksonville Jaguars - 8 playoff wins, 3 AFC championship games
  • Atlanta Falcons- 8 playoff wins, 4 NFC championship games, 2 SB appearances
  • Carolina Panthers- 9 playoff wins, 4 NFC championship games, 2 SB appearances
  • Dallas Cowboys - 5 playoff wins, no conference championship appearances
My purpose here is to say: WE ARE OVERDUE. It’s time for our players and coaches to smell the coffee of who we have been the last 30 years and dig in to turn this around.

We need to get back to being what the Cowboys once were. Playoff tough. I’m tired of our “bragging rights” being tied to 30 years backwards.

Maybe this year will be a year to catch the teams above who have no business being ahead of us in playoff performance.

It’s time! GO COWBOYS!

Eh, playoff wins that don't result in a Superbowl win are just as meaningless as great regular season records that lead to nothing. Just as valuable as crappy regular season records too.

I have said before, and I'm sticking to it ......THIS is our year to break through. The way I see it, only the Bears, Rams and Seahawks are standing in our way.

This stat needs to land on both Jerry’s and Stephen’s desk. Might give them a new perspective.

This is precisely why I am one of many that is taking the "I'll believe it when I see it"

This is a contrast between fan opinions that I completely understand and support. We should all fan as we choose.

Playoff wins, even without a Super Bowl, are a good way to gauge where your franchise really is. If you don't have many, you're doing it wrong. If you do have a lot, you are close, and need to figure out what the last piece of the puzzle is or get lucky one year.

And if you have a bunch, but still no super bowl wins?

And over such a long period as 30 years...it won't give you much of a gauge of anything, as there will be peaks (unless you're the Browns) and valleys.

Doesn't bother Jerry at all because in the end of it all, we have more money, and money makes the Jerry go around lol

Common denominator for the last 30 years:
Mr. Jerry Jones.

Great post and the sobering facts are what they are. We are snakebit in the postseason when we actually mk the playoffs.

First I consider myself fortunate to have seen the best of cowboy football.

Having seen that I know what it takes to get to a Super bowl and you have to have a committed front office that makes the Super bowl the only priority every single year.

We have a front office that makes being the most valuable franchise in sports a priority

And an owner that makes working with his family unqualified football people a priority.

We have an owner that won't use a first round pick on a quarterback and tries to take coaches with mediocre skills and hope they turn into Tom Landry or Jimmy Johnson.

Sure I am absolutely enthused that we put forth some effort this year and tried to correct are deficiencies on defense.

BUT IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED LIKE THIS EVERY YEAR UNTIL A SUPER BOWL IS ATTAINED. Not just once in awhile to appease the fans.

I've lowered my expectations and I will be happy with just some good football to watch and if we can win a playoff game or two I will figure we have reached our ceiling and be somewhat satisfied with that
