Giants DC: Our defense will be tough and violent Sunday night

This game promises to be an interesting one to see. We can always be extremely confident that our opposition will put their best efforts forward to compete with us. The past offers fair indications of what is to be expected. It's doubtful that fear of their team will be a negative factor to ours.

That, alone, should give the Giants' fans much in the way of assurances that it may be an example of what they're likely to see again. Let's wish them less luck than they surely need.

They can rest assured that the current version of the Cowboys isn't likely to fear them any more than what past games with their team had to offer. They can also expect that the Cowboys' defense will be better prepared than what our teams of the recent past had to offer.

They're going to have their moments we know that it's up to our o line not to make them look stellar. You'll hear a lot about how we miss all pro guard Tyler Smith

Y'all really sleeping on the most elite CB room in the league. Time to wake up and get hip to the wave. Just ask Greg Newsome.

The man is the 66th highest rated CB in the NFL! He leads a group of other serious ballers you never think about like Deonte Banks, Paulson Adebo and rookie Colton Hood

Man, and here I thought their secondary was their biggest weakness, followed by the 3-4 DL. The only thing about their defense that seems scary to me is their linebackers/pass rushers, especially since offensive tackle is our weak point on the line.

New defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson knows the #Giants will face a tough test vs. the Cowboys. He views Dak Prescott as a "top quarterback in the National Football League." He sees both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens as "elite receivers."

But the Giants defense is going to be unapologetic in how they play. They intend to be tough and violent.

Sunday night the New York giants and the rest of the league will be put on notice. It's unfortunate that New York, a team searching for an identity, would have to draw the Cowboys to open the season. And to do so on Sunday night football.
The league did new york no favors with this matchup. Brace yourselves football fans, the 26/27 Dallas Cowboys are primed for a Superbowl run. Any team finding themselves between the Cowboys and that ultimate goal, well, as we eluded to earlier, that would be, unfortunate.

Leave no doubt! Let's Go Cowboys! :starspin:

someone show me some NFL coach publicly saying the team was going to play soft and be a bunch of wussies prior to the season starting. They all say the same thing....... and then games start.

They have some good players on D........
Listen, I know we are on a Cowboys board and the Giants have been awful for 9 out of 10 years but the board has to remember the Cowboys have not made the playoffs in two years. We are probably only a notch ahead of the Giants talent wise. Unfortunately the Giants have a big coaching advantage. This game will be tough.

The Giants are running their mouths so let’s see them back it up. They sound like the Ravens.

I'm sure they'll be tough and violent. Just like they never are. But this time they will be. I already called out. I'm not going into work Sunday night. All because I want to see how tough and violent the Giants defense is.

Keep talking.

Man... like... I want to respect it.

But I've just seen regime after regime of Giants coaches talk their talk.

And then Dak is like 14-3 against them with 2 losses coming a whole decade ago, and the other coming from a half game to close out the season.
