Aaron Rodgers says he's a big fan of Dak and doesn't understand all the criticism he receives

Ok.

Let the record show tmc believes QB's should account for wins by themselves.
Let the record show it’s a tired argument. And this is why. I never said that statement. It’s dumb. Every time he loses it’s his fault when he wins he’s carried. You guys have to be tired of the flip flopping….
They’re not here so I was asking you what you thought.
I just gave you the answer. If those three failed to make the playoffs then what does that say? You can’t elevate a terrible defense:

Never mind.

Well, that is nice and he gives Dak some props. Professional courtesy possibly.

Doesn't matter, nor does it matter what our fans think. Rather they like it or not.

Just get us to the playoffs (team effort), then win those playoff games. That is all I care about at this point.

How about a top 10 QB on a team with the 31st worst defense? What should their record be?
Who cares? Honestly if you’re not getting to 9+ wins it makes having a top 10 QB irrelevant.

The cowboys are significantly better positioned in 2026 to make the playoffs but I’d much rather go the way of the dolphins and do a total rebuild than suffer through what the cowboys FO put us through the previous two years.

After the last playoff loss Jerry should have either gone all in or full rebuild mode. The hang around the rim philosophy has been disastrous.

He knew exactly what I meant and wants me to spell it out smh…..just wakes up ready to fight.
lol...and you thought he was your friend with all the likes you give him. Rockport don't have friends, he will turn on you in the blink of an eye. Hope you learned your lesson about him now.

I gave him like today. I’m not a grudge holder I give likes based on content not based on tribalism or based on who likes me or not. That’s silly. If he posts something silly I will call him out. He calls out the trolls on this site he will get a like.

Yep...I think that is PART of the reason we got rid of Parsons. Along with some shenigans and grandstanding (both sides)...he really wasn;t making an overall difference to our team.

So you take what assets you can get, and make the changes.

You didn't just say that a top ten QB should account for 10 wins? I'm pretty sure you said that.

Stop with the "you guys" stuff. I speak for myself as I'm sure all others do. There is no conspiracy here.

I'll ponder on why if a top 10 QB should win 10 games and Prescott is a top 10 QB but didn't win 10 games last season... Not sure I'll be able to find the sense in that, but I will give it a shot.

We got rid of Parsons because of Jerry's hurt feelings in the 11th hour, not some grand vision for Cowboys football. Hopefully what's happened as a result came from somebody else who finally called Jerry a fool to his face (nicely) and he actually listened. But the time to trade Parsons was after his 3rd year if you were unsure of paying him. Could have gotten more than anyone's ever received for a traded defender with that timing. But that would have required them to have foresight, not the "clean up on aisle 10" mentality this became. Might work out, but still.

I don’t have a problem with Dak, I have a problem with the end results. If the formula isn’t working even good players should be reevaluated.

At this point ripping on Dak is pointless as 95% of your roster is what it is as this point. That said if this team ends up with 7 to 9 wins how much longer do we stay happy because our QB makes a top 10 list every preseason?
If the QB makes the top ten list every year, has it occurred to anyone that perhaps, just maybe, that the QB is not the problem?

My point exactly. Every time the Cowboys lose, Dak lost. When they win, the fantastic roster Jerry built carried him.

The goal posts just keep being moved to support a narrative. I am not naive enough to absolve Dak of all the blame. But to make every win and loss about one player is ridiculous either way. Dak does not win or lose games by himself.

But to people desperate to be "right" on an internet forum, he does.

The issue is not being the problem doesn’t mean they are part of the solution though.

Similar to the Micah parsons situation. Hes a top 5 edge player, but there is a reasonable argument that the cowboys are better off long term with their 1st round picks and Kenny Clark.

If the cowboys continue to struggle in 2026 it’s probably fair to evaluate if a $60m QB continues to be a wise investment, or if looking at an exit plan, possible picking up a draft pick for Dak along with opening future cap space to finish the defensive rebuild is the way to go?

To me this is all far fetched unless the cowboys actually underachieve this year, but what if they do? Shuffle the cards again and hope that year 12 is the winner?

You're right but I am waiting on year 31 to be the winner. Quarterback play has actually not been the problem since 2006, since this team admittingly lucked into both Romo and Dak outperforming expectations.
