Myles Garrett headed to IR

Posted here because this is our only competition for the 1 seed.

It’s the NFL and why you can’t make any win/loss record predictions based on the previous year. People were predicting the Rams to go 17-0 and now they have the best DE in the league getting knee surgery and the 2nd best not having played in 2 years not even playing yet.

In retrospect it was kind of funny to see all those 9ers fans thumping their chests over Trent Williams v Garrett.

Turns out Garrett was half asleep (thanks McVay!) with a bum knee

The interesting thing to me is that he was injured in training camp, so why wait until now to do the surgery,
The same could be said for Tyler Smith, and other NFL players.
If a player is injured, why not have the surgery right away to hasten the return?
Seems to happen a lot in the league.
I get the "they were hoping it wouldn't require surgery" angle but it seems to happen a lot.
Seems better to have a star player half way through his rehab in week 1 rather than just having his surgery in week 1.

That said, TW is a freak and still maybe the best LT in the league as the oldest in the league. He will walk into the HOF on the first vote, easily.
