Bengals defense has been horrible over the past three seasons. Right there with Dallas last year.

They added several defenders over the offseason and are playing well today. It’s a VERY small sample size but they have started out of the gate like a top 5 defense.

No excuses for the Cowboys defense today. It doesn’t have to be a top 5 defense but it should, at a minimum, be respectable.

we will be better. we are not going to go from 32nd worst to dominant over night. lots of new athletic players. a lot of smarter players. better scheme.
they will be better just because of that, but they aren't used to each other. they may not know all of their assignments yet. they are not using the whole play book. so it will take time to come together. the pieces are there. couple of question marks that we need to see and maybe it will end up 50/50 (pass rush, CBs).

Hard not to be better when we had one of the historically worst defenses of all time.

I like most of the moves made but I feel like they should have brought back Clowney for one more year. If Gary, Von Miller, EZE and the rookie end up killing it then they could have traded Clowney. Clowney was good against the run while also adding some pass rush. This is one move I think could haunt us.

If Bland returns to form and Revel ends up being what they thought he would be then CB should be alright especially with the addition of Durant and Downs adding some time in the slot.

OT is still a potential weakness but the addition of the FA as well as the 4th rd pick they at least attempted to address it. We shall see.

TE could be better but one thing Dak does well is maximize the talent at TE Ferguson, Spann Ford and Schoonmaker should be OK but an elite TE would take this offense to an even better level.

RB could be stronger but Blue didn’t work out. I think we will be fine here as long as the starter stays healthy.

ILB this is the position I will be watching most. Overshown Barham and Winters could end up being great but there are no guarantees.

You can’t have all pros at every position but with a little luck this could be the most loaded roster we have seen in a while.

Looking at this ravens game they got their hands full

Lets just all hope that the OPs title is no longer an oxymoron.

its not just getting better. Jason Garrett had good units, but thats what they were good units, he couldnt align everything to work as a team. BS needs to do that, have the team flowing forward. BS has to make sure the players understand we want a scheme so the units work better towards the goal of winning. Lots of wrinkles he has to work out, not just "said player is better"
