That was the exact moment I knew this was going to be a disappointing game. It didn't take long, and I was very disappointed in Shotty. He needed to set a statement. They needed 6inches. Or the Giants would have scored faster at least, giving the offence another chance to do something. They ate up the clock like a triple option team and that was a very Harbaugh game plan. Wonder why that name has reverence to it? They can put you in a rock fight and that's exactly where they want to be.

I’m not going to predict the rest of the season, but this is only week one and unofficially still preseason. A lot of strange things happened this first week.

Offence looked as expected I guess the D will take a few weeks to perfect. A vet LB would be ideal. Bobby would come in here and straiten this DFence out.

You saw it sooner than I did. I knew the game was over when the Giants opened up the 2nd half with an 8 minute drive ending in a TD. The worst part, I don't even think they had a single 3rd down. If they had one, I don't remember it.

The defense is a sieve, and not as good as everyone said. Schotty should have known that....he's the coach..

His decision to punt it the biggest coward decision I can remember. We have a team of all veterans on offense. It was the first drive of the game....what a coward....I hope this is his last year because this was exactly what Jason garret would have done.

No, no, not stupid. At the beginning of the game, you HAVE to assume your new and improved defense would slow the Dart and Skat. If not, if you think it's the same old defense as last year, well, then, the season is a lost-cause anyway.

If we don't have faith in this defense to force more than one punt in a game, then this season is a total bust anyway....doesn't matter whether they squeak a win in NY or not. Much tougher opponents are coming so....if this team has playoff aspirations, the defense has to play a lot better.

AND, so does the offense.

Just like last season, neither the offense nor defense were able to impose their will on the game early. It's like they're backpedaling from the first snap, playing BBDB on defense, and calling vanilla, basic plays on offense....making it easy on both the opposing OC and DC. THIS HAS TO STOP. It sets the tone for the first half.

CP and Schotty both failed tonight....and Schotty failed pretty often last year.

Same ol', same ol'...unitl it changes. I still haven't seen any signs of early aggression on EITHER side of the ball, which is such a failure for a coach.

.....Shotty got the whole attitude wrong. As we've be saying, we need a lead, get Dak in his comfort zone and stop allowing the run to kill us with a 1000 cuts.

I honestly don't know when the culture of the league changed with "analytics", but 25 years ago if a coach went for it on 4th and inches on his side of the field, you'd run the risk of being fired.

It was the right call being the first series of downs and given their field position.
