Sorry I don't want to hear about it being the first game these guys aren't rookies they're supposed to be the leaders on this team absolutely elite players.

The only thing worse than this group of underachievers is our coaching staff unprepared no discipline still a hundred yards of penalties taunting personal fouls

Absolute junk product put out on that field last night.

Same offense as last year. Feasts on garbage defenses. Terrible against good defenses.
 
Bass may have stepped up to do a descent job, but the rest of the OL? I have said since Day 1, it is still an issue.Dak made an awful pass, yes. GP looked disinterested as he did in a few games last year. Unless I am crazy, I read last night our O had the ball 2x in the 2nd half? I have also stated numerous times to the deaf community on here that to annoint this D based upon not 1 game together was insane, and outside of a play here or there, they looked outmatched...pathetic and couldn't tackle worth a damn. That goes for each and evrery member, including Downs outside of the one hit he almost killed Dart on, that was still completed. Hardly time to quit, but exepctations were out of control and delusional from the fan base on herre

Nobody on this forum claimed it but our quarterback did.

And you can try and justify it all you want by touchdown and possession ratio.

Absolutely had an opportunity before halftime.
Quarterback is a 10-year veteran getting paid $60 million a year.

He's given two of the best receivers in football each getting paid around 30 million a year.

Not only do these elite players fail to score and squander the opportunity but they give our opponent a golden opportunity to totally change the momentum of the game and they do.

I'm real sorry but there's no participation trophy for how good their touchdown to possession ratio was.

When you state you're running the greatest offense there is you need to take that ball down before halftime and score or you're just a freaking poser
 
The offense was far from perfect last night but they did score TDs on half of their possessions. It’s tough to put up a lot of points if you only get 6 offensive possessions in a game. The league average for offensive possessions last year was 11 a game so we only got about half of that last night. The real problem is the defense giving up multiple 12 play 8 minute type drives. You can’t score points if you can’t get on the field. 3 of the last 4 times the offense got the ball they scored TDS.

The Giants actually had 3 possessions in the second half. If your demand "unless the offense is perfect it is their fault" then you are always going to blaming them and you would blame just about every other offense in the history of the NFL. If you are scoring TDs on half your drives you should win every game. If you only get 2 second half possessions (and score TDs on both) your defense was an abomination.
 
Dak was pretty bad last night. He has to play better. The dropped passes were not his fault but he threw a few bad one, including that all time dumb interception. But he is who he is. He does not always make smart decisions because I just don't think he is that smart to begin with. Sure, the int he should have just thrown out of bounds, a decision he rarely makes. But he threw a couple of other passes that were bad too. Down inside the 20 he threw some kind of pass behind the LOS that was clearly covered and wound up losing yards. A good QB see that and throws it in the dirt to avoid the lass. Dak just does not have that kind of smarts.

But Dak was only one reason they lost the game. There we others.

One thing that give me some hope is they all played to poorly I cannot imagine them playing that badly again next week.

But I also think the defense has two major problems. Their edge guys are just terrible. I worry the CBs are pretty awful too. And they could not cover any of the Giants TEs last night. That has to get fixed.

They had 6-7 drives and 3 of them ended in a TD. The highest scoring offense in the history of the NFL was the 2013 Denver Broncos and they averaged a TD on 35% of their drives. Even if you count the 20 second end of half drive that still means the Cowboys offense last night had a higher TD percentage then the highest scoring offense in NFL history.

Still part of the reason for the loss. Not showing up enough in the 1st half enough and the turnover. Same with the packers playoff game. They were part of that loss also.
 
The corners were NY’s weakness . They finally got someone like Flournoy involved when it was obvious the Cowboys couldn’t stop NY . Turpin Ferguson non factors in the passing game .

That end of half INT was a killer . You don’t want them to get the ball again first half yet you gift them a red balloon and flowers how nice . Throw the ball out of bounds live to punt but really the offense needed to pile up first downs and put a score on the board .

The OneDrive in the game that didn't end up in a touchdown for the Cowboys because Dak through a horrible interception and ended up in a touchdown for the Giants change the whole game.

And you flat out can't claim that you are the greatest offense there is and come up so small in that situation.

That decision making is completely unacceptable for a 10-year veteran making $60 million a year.

I have stuck up for Dak constantly but I can't in good conscience defend this type of bragging and that type of performance.

There are two halves, no? It was a sluggish first quarter and good the rest of the way.

Of course the offense played its part but it was good enough to win.

The fact that you're trying to be purposely misleading about the number of drives they had really hammers home the point.

They scored 3 touchdowns on 6 drives. Teams average ~11 possessions per game. Back of napkin math - they score 30+ with a functional NFL defense.
 
The Giants held the ball for 2 hours

Thats what happened…..its kinda like YEARS ago we held the high powered eagles to 12 points but we held the ball most of the game
