Game Day Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants | Postgame

On the bright side, the first week of the season is always a bit of a throwaway so I’m trying not to read too much into it. Especially with how little guys play in preseason nowadays.

I don’t doubt that the offense will get things in gear, more concerned about the D at this point.
The offense was pretty in gear. The 3rd down INT is being overblown as it was a net cost of about 20 yards and 8 seconds (and the Giants went 55 yards in 28 seconds with 20 seconds and 1 timeout to spare). If the Cowboys average the TD percentage they had last night they are the best offense in the history of the NFL (by a significant margin). The problem is that you cant really do much when you have 4 fewer possessions than you should in a game. That was the biggest difference in the game.

We should have known the offense would struggle in the first half when this is our first play of the game. Just getting cute?

We need to be humbled to a top 3 pick in next year's draft... Oh yeah we traded that to the Jets.
Not happening unless we have one of those years with 10+ starts from the Brandon Weeden/Matt Cassel/Mark Sanchez’s of the world

In the NHL, teams trade Top 5/Top 10-protected picks, so if a team ends up having one of those catastrophic seasons, the first rounder automatically shifts to the next year’s draft.

Too bad that hasn’t caught on in the NFL. Although I’m not sure that JJ has the bargaining chops necessary to extract those kind of concessions.

Teams know that once Jerry has his beady little eyes set on a player they can take him to the cleaners.

Yikes if Winters was supposed to stay with Likely than yeah that would have been a TD either way. lol. Our linebackers vs a WR TE like Likely is a huge mismatch for the Giants. I wish we had a dynamic TE that can create mismatches vs safeties and linebackers.

Agree....Think people are sleeping on the Giants this year. All things considered....this was gonna be a hard game regardless...and I think we bought into our hype. You would think last years loss would have been a wake up call.....but No.

I just know this much....Parker has gotta quit being cute. Get your best players in a position to win...far too many times it seemed like we had guys doing weird stuff to try and disguise...and it backfired...having guys way out of position.
yes hopefully he learned alot from that beat down lol.
It was his first game as DC , and he was going against not 1 but 3 veteran OC's, and they ate his lunch.
Harbaughs 3 OC deal reminds me of vermiel and the Rams back in 99 when they won the SB.
