And people called extending Brevyn Spann-Ford a mistake. The Cowboys might be seeing the same thing with Ferg.

Wonder if they might trade him if things continue to go south (both record-wise and with Ferguson).

This is an opportunity for Spann-Ford and Schoonmaker. I hope the coaches give them a true opportunity to unseat him even with the contract ramifications and restructuring.

Embarrassing for Ferguson but that's how a real DE discards a TE trying to single block him. Something we rarely see in Dallas.

"Culture" is an overused word in sports sometimes, IMO.

However, the constant bantering about the "Culture problem" in Dallas is justified IMO

How many times, over and over, do we see guys who perform well, get paid, and then basically disappear.

It's not a one off. Does it happen this much in other organizations? Or am I just missing it because I pay more attention to Dallas? Honest question. But as the saying goes, if I had a dollar for every guy who got paid by our FO and then basically collapsed.....

To be fair this was Ferguson's worst rep of the game. People are saying he pancaked Abdul Carter a couple times.

Yeah his metrics have suggested regression the last couple seasons. 2025 was a massive drop in what was supposed to be a rebound year.

Hope to be wrong but my money is he’s done and is fighting just to make a roster within 2 years.

I bet Witten could still make that block! Ferguson's lack of usage was really surprising he played 76% of snaps in the game, but I recall seeing Spann-Ford more who actually only played 22% of the snaps. Totally invisible.

Dude is a backup level TE. I promise I can scan the rosters for TE2's of all the NFL teams and come up with at least a dozen better TE's
