My honest opinion is they will correct enough to not be buried early.

Im as disgusted as anyone, but outliers happen week 1 especially.

Last year the Raider beat the Pats. We had the vaunted Rams look terrible. The Chargers were horrible against the Cards and the Packers absolutely collapsed vs the Vikings.

Im not at all confident in this team after that performance but I dont expect the whole year to be over in a few weeks.

Every team you listed has something that would make me confident if we had it.

A 1st round pick that looks that lost, shouldn't have been a 1st round pick. When you factor in the fact thay we basically double dipped after drafting DEs in back to back seasons was puzzling, especially with LB and corner beign positions of need.

With all that beign said, the need to address LB or get a DE that can actually create pressure. Gary isnt the answer, Von Miller looks washed, Lawrence is lost, and Eze seems like the only decent DE we have. LB is a huge need as well.

I'd like to say 3-4, but if we're playing it safe, I'd go with 2-5. I don't think judging how this team will play based solely on the Giants game is the best approach. A lot can change over the next few weeks.

This is still a week-to-week league. Teams win games they're expected to lose and lose games they're expected to win all the time. There's no reason to think we know exactly what this Cowboys team will look like by the time they get to Philly.

History has shown that we are soft team. Undisciplined. And dumb. That’s what worries me most.

You should have seen the messages I got when they traded for Winters - Like that solved the LB issues - It was the biggest need going into FA, and still is.

What's embarrassing is this fan base being so emotionally drained and beaten down, that they did enough in the draft and FA to fix the worst unit on the team.

In Europe, if your team does bad, you dont go to games, you protest, you refuse to spend money. Things change.

Problem with that idea is that of our two 1st round picks (ours and the Packers), the Jets get the higher pick as part of the QW trade.

So, unless the packers really suck this year, tanking our own pick does us no good.

It's the kind of franchise crippling that an unqualified GM, who hired himself, and refuses to fire him despite breaking the record for longest conference championship appearance drought in team sports history, would get us into.

That dumb trade did nothing help our defense as it is still a train wreck, and engineered it so that we can't even tank properly if the year goes bad. Ah, but don't worry. The architect of this disaster won't lose his job for it.

It seems to be getting that way cuz Jerry continues holding us hostage but the only thing we actually do in response to our captor is watch more of his team, go to his stadium or buy his merchandise.

Funny thing is, Gary is a good player. However, he's the SSLB. He's the edge setter, not the sackmaster war daddy. And it appears we expected him to go from 7-10 sacks to 20. Why? Just because, I guess.

DE seems like a position that should somewhat translate the easiest from college. The fact that hes that slow off the line and unable to set the edge is concerning. If this team thought bringing in a guy who couldn't get a sack for like 8 games straight to end last season was the solution...well then I have a bridge to Hawaii I'd like to sell them. They havent done much to address the actual pass rush. Sure they've gotten a bunch of guys that can stop the run and an old veteran but what about getting to the passer? Eze is the only one at DE that can rush the passer it seems like. I truly hope I'm wrong in the end.
