Here is my take on CeeDee....he is my LEAST favorite # 88 amongst Pearson, Irvin and Dez (not going to count Antonio Bryant). He is the least inspiring of the #88s....he is a great player...a stat sheet stuffer...but he does not "rally the troops" on gameday...and probably not off the field....like Irvin or Dez

Irvin and Dez intimidated the defense...not with speed...but with physicality...but they intimidated none the less

I don't feel like CeeDee intimidates with speed or physicality...I think he just gets numbers...and that is not to suggest he is not a great player

But this is a Jerry thing...it's like when he insisted Randy Gregory wear number #94...and he was not nearly who Haley and Ware were. And remember...CeeDee did NOT want to wear #88...Jerry MADE him!!

Baker Mayfield played a bit of an idiot a couple times in his 1st game...flopping the ball around like a loaf of bread at the pidgeon park. But man he plays hard and will give up his body to make a play. Committment. Tell me who does that for Cowboys.

I am tired of these 2 highly paid wideouts dropping passes.

Yes basically the Pickens gamble was really worth it if you’re then able to swap cd and get real d help and just rethink this whole lineup

Right now Dallas is still all over the place. Too much on the OFFENSE LINE. But still somehow it has tons of holes.

what do I want on my Dallas cowboys team?

I want a handsome qb with a set of plums.
I want a running back that stands out above the entire league in some key aspect .

And I want my 88 to be an absolute Herman Munster I dont know. But as the 2020’s go along I would be unfair not to shine a critical light on ceedee lambs side of our failures. I really couldn’t even tell you what he did wrong but I know he was there for it !

What I ponder now at this point is a few things as we chase a championship and at least watch ability


I’m looking at attitude and asset allocation

Right now Dallas is still all over the place. Too much on the OFFENSE LINE. But still somehow it has tons of holes.

Two stud wide receivers but a talentless defense?

Right now it still feels off. The mix still doesn’t feel right. One crucial drop or taunting penalty and now they punt jsut once and the entire game is over?

Maybe they need more bread n butter and less jelly n jam? I can’t believe this post is still going im hungry I think is what jsut happened here.


But no yea scroll to this part I agree with that choice ; here’s the question do you really care if cd is on the team next year? Great talent but this thing moves on yes?

you are correct, Cee Dee is above average, but not elite and is on the downside of 27 for a WR.

We should have the wherewithall, comittment and expertise to be able to assess and improve all aspects of the team.
