Need to add penalties in for you to understand what this game was really about and who was really the blame?

I thought it was a team game? How are you able to separate Dak's stats from the blocking, route running and execution that ENABLED his "vaunted" QBR?

If we won, this would be a Dak victory. But because we lost, let's find Dak highlights.

Here's a thought: Dak should start fast like the other QBs. Dak is supposed to make the opposing defense look like ours!

Everyone knows Cowboys are weak in all positions....... what blocking and execution enabled him do you think?

In the last 3 years, Cowboys have failed Dak more than Dak has failed the Cowboys. It all started with that garbage Green Bay game in 2023.... or maybe actually earlier.... the first Eagles game. We had no business losing that game. But we find a way.

There's a universe where a QB can throw an INT, basically the same as a short punt, and the defense doesn't give up a 55 yard TD scoring drive in 29 seconds!!

You know, the WR could have caught the absolute DOT that Dak dropped a play or two before the int.

But you're right, that one play was a "killer". Couldn't overcome a 7 point deficit.

I don't know why this has to be repeated, but paying a player more money doesn't make him something he's not.

The Cowboys knew what Dak was a player both times they paid him. Whenever he isn't perfect fans throw out the $60 million per year figure (which isn't really what he's counting, but that's another 40 page thread) as some kind of crutch.

The way this team is built, Dak needs to be perfect for them to win. When he isn't perfect, like Sunday night, he's the only one that gets the blame.

Dak’s cap charge is directly relevant to the talent the team is able to assemble around him. Dak commanded he be paid that salary. The team paid Dak.

Dak is not performing up to his salary level. It’s perfectly fair to put that on Dak. The excuses for Dak need to stop.

It’s arguable Jerry shouldn’t have paid Dak as much as he did. On the other hand Dak insisted on getting paid. Dak got paid. Dak deserves EVERY bit of the criticism he receives.

Jerry could have said no. jerry could have drafted another QB. jerry could have signed another QB in FA.
Jerry didn't do any of that.

and I can ask for a billion dollar a year salary. you don't have to agree. you don't have to hire me.

and like I said, its the market. it is what it is. there is one elite QB and then there is the rest. rank them as you wish. criticize as you wish. its all opinions anyway.

Nobody forced Jerry and Stephen to pay Dak. If they felt he was not worth the contract he demanded they could have let him walk.

You said it yourself. The team paid Dak. Therefore it is the Jones' fault. Paying Dak more money does not make him a better quarterback.
 
The INT that Dak got before the half was hurtful, without a doubt, but the defense surely didn't shine, either! They'll have the weekdays to get more practice and familiarity with one another. Let's just hope familiarity actually comes about before the next game comes up. It'll likely be somewhat difficult. It was obvious from the start that wins won't be easy in the coming weeks. Lotsa luck, Cowboys. Sigh . . .

Dak took blame for the int. He said he was trying to throw it out of bounds but didn’t quite make it. Took a great play by the CB to catch it.
