Can we talk about 92 QW?

I keyed on him quite a bit. Man his effort was terrible. Playing like he is in quicksand. Also he is firing off and staying way too high. If he tries to win at all it's with strength. I was hoping he and Clark could generate a consistent pass rush inside. First 2 games they have done nothing. Very disappointed in him.

Anyone else see this?

Far from dominant, but definitely better than last week. He wasn’t just occupying blockers. There were several plays where he actually drove them into the backfield and disrupted the play. That helped the linebackers get cleaner looks and make some tackles. He said he wanted to play better this week, and he did. Like I said, it wasn’t a dominant performance, but it was much closer to the level of play he and the Cowboys expect from him.

I don't know if it's an effort thing with Quinnen. Like a lot of players on defense it still looks like they are not 100 percent sure what they should be doing sometimes.

This isn't Eberflus-level bad where players are actually running away from where the ball is going, it just looks like hesitation. That's what I see with Quinnen and a lot of other guys.

There is a lot of thinking before playing on Defense right now. This should improve as year goes on.

CP runs a variation of a scheme that's been around awhile and while the players are getting used to it, opposinteams already know how to attack it.

I do find it a bit strange that the guy you just traded two premium draft picks for you’re not building your defense around.

One reason I was excited to get Q is that we had his old DL coach that he thrived under in whitecotton. Q was considered to be having a down year in 2025 with the jets and came to Dallas where he looked like a top DT again.

they need a beefy space eater in the middle to run a 3-4 defense. they don't have that and are playing QW ineffectively. our DTs are better suited for a 4-3 defense. CP is learning on the job and is unfortunately a fish out of water.

Seems like the lane integrity isnt there or may be its the linebackers not filling the proper hole. Something is definitely off

And he was actually better in Dallas the second half of last season than he was with the Jets before the trade.

I think 92 will be fine once he settles into this scheme.

I am thinking the same thing. Hope we're wrong and it is just him not being in proper game shape.

Here's a guy who knows that's going on. It'll take a little time because this is a different defense.

I do wish CP would play more 4-3 at times. Mix it up.
