Another game without a sack

As much as I have thrown all our edges under the bus. I’ve noticed that ALL the edges at one point are just standing there watching the play. Not backing out in coverage, just standing there watching. This horrendous edge play may be result of some terrible coaching. Rashan Gary is awful no matter who’s coaching him.
I knew Dallas was in trouble when the trade was announced with Green Bay, Green Bay forum stated Gary had concrete shoes.

Last year Jerry and Stephen sat on their thrones at the press conference that shall not be named and said that not only could a JAG by Committee pass rush match what we were losing but that with Eberflus’ schemes it would be better.

This year we were told that trading for a declining soon to be JAG would give us a motivated leader to rally our flotilla of JAGs in training.

I mean the Seahawks won the Super Bowl with a bunch of guys they picked up across the street from Home Depot, right?

Well. None of those predictions came true but at least we have a full, healthy, and more experienced set of JAGs to watch for another 14 games.

Nothing is more important than talent.

This bunch of turkeys would need a double Belichik to make them look middle of the pack.

I said in training camp that if Parker got this squad to 22nd in the league it would be real success.

I think I may have overestimated our JAGs. Maybe they’re just SAGs.

The defense is young and can’t get stops
We had stops. 2 goal line, a 4th down one.

Henry was stuffed 7 times yesterday

However slight they are showing improvement.

Young players in a new system, Def backfield decimated by injuries.

But yes, we need more consistent stops, which is I think your point

Have to admit we've faced three very mobile QBs. I think after the next couple of weeks this will look better.

I have to disagree. I think the lack of sacks is the biggest problem in the room. QBs have all day to throw and just about every pass play is a big play on our defense. We're not even moving the QB out of the pocket.

When we had a pass rush you saw the TOs as a result.
Dallas had the ball on the two yard line with victory in their grasp without one sack. Name one team that would have blown that opportunity.

Lamar wasn’t even under any pressure yesterday. It was pathetic.

We’ve now gone two straight full games without a sack, and we have only two sacks on the season. To put that in perspective, multiple teams have had more sacks in a single game than we’ve managed through three.

Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Commanders.

At this point, the pass rush is not just a weakness — it’s a glaring problem. We need to address it immediately.
Wow -- it is sort of like you don't realize that these mobile QBs are really hard to sack -- that is sort of the whole deal with them.

Don't list teams with sacks without listing who they played. We've had some of the most elusive QBs in the first three game.

Pay attention. This board is for knowledgeable fans. You might need to go down a level to the minor league boards before working your way back up

Truthfully one pass rusher would help tremendously I just don’t know who that is because it ain’t Crosby. At 3-0 Raiders aren’t trading him. Josh Sweat stil available?
Yeah, I think our Maxx dream is over…..he would have made a big difference and the time to pick him up with this offseason when the raiders were willing to deal him cuz they had the worst record in the league last year……that **** is over and done now lol. Him plus Q, with a 4 DL scheme….would have been magical. Maxx is everything in a DE, RELENTLESS rusher and motor, amazing against the run, hungry, football is life for him…..those dudes are gamers…only thing that can bring them down is injury…..that mentality intangible is legit.

We can't rush the passer, stop the run or cover anyone down field. A recipe for disaster and boy, is it ever to begin the season. This defense does nothing well. Did we contain Henry? At times, sure. But he still scored twice and Baltimore had nearly 200yds on the ground.

They were exposed in the GB playoff game and it's been downhill ever since.

With a defense like this, what hope is there to do anything of value this season? Sure, we can win some games and will because the NFL is designed for even bad teams to win games and compete weekly.
The held Henry under 90 yards with 3.9 yards per carry.
