No excuses for this offense!

Sorry I did not read thru every post guys, but I have a passion for calling the plays with this personnel we have and the NFL will be frightened to play us. Stretch the defense often and early with our outstanding WR's. That will open up the rest of the offense and keep them so off balanced. I was a Schooty fan, but this guy is holding us back big time! Let Dak call the plays and here's another thought, have a dam game plan and adjust if necessary. Take Schotty out of the play calling and game management and we don't lose another gane this year regardless of the defense. IMO. I'm so done with this coach. wasting talent!

The offense put up 31 points. Bailed? Imagine how many more points they could have put up without the fumbles and penalties.

In case you missed the game, the entire team failed. All three units.
31 points. So what? Both the Lions and Texans put up 31 points and still got the L.

They were at the 2 yard line for what should have been an OPI not DPI. They could have put the game away like any other competent offense. So, yes, they were bailed and failed.

LOL! Cowboys offense is 3rd in the NFL in points per drive.

Yeah, let's blame them.
:lmao2:

Saw a graphic where the Cowboys offense has only punted the ball 5 times total in 3 games. And some fans will still put losses mostly on the offense, since the bar has been lowered for the defense so much that they all they have to do is come up with a few stops per game and be absolved from any blame in Cowboys losses which have resulted in both teams scoring 30 points or more.
Exactly.

The bar is so low that defense made one stop and every is acting like we won the superbowl and some even.dar3d to.say defense was average...giving up 34 points and 190 yards rushing is considered average..
This is year 3 of defensive rebuild and we still suck

Offense brought back every single starter, kept their playcallers and have just one key starter missing, although his backup Bass has a ton of starting experience. Add in all the cap resources on that side of the football, there is zero excuse for this offense coming up short time after time. I wrote a post prior to the season about this unit being overrated, they have done nothing to change my opinion.

Dak has had many chances to change the narrative for him not being an elite QB. However, can you remember any time he delivered a winning TD on their last drive? Now it isn't just him, year after year this team beat themselves with committing unforced mental mistakes. They usually led the league in penalties every year. Last week was a perfect example when Schoon commits a false start inside the 2.

It is fair to wonder if Schott and Dak are the one's to take us to the top. Once the Defense improves, what will their excuse be then?
The O is good.
Why aren't you critical of our putrid Defence?

Well if their offenses put up 31 also, then they've done their parts. When teams score 31 points in the NFL, they win the game 75 to 80% of the time.

Funny I tried to tell you all this summer let's not think they're going to be the same dynamic offense like last year. There's still time, but right now this team isn't good overall
I don't know why there hasn't been a meet-me-in-the-90s-film room moment yet...or SEVERAL. Too much cute. Too much finesse. Too much going away from a running game when it's working. Too much stupid really. They can be every bit as good as they were last year if they can exorcise the DUMB from the play-calling sheet. Schottenheimer's stock is falling. After the Ravens, the honeymoon is definitely over...or at least it should be.

You're right about that time to make some changes to get this thing right

You drink Jerry's snake oil every year. Then you act surprised that the results are different after each chome session. Then, you double down and act as if there is somehow pressure on Jerry or Dak to produce. Fans such as yourself are the enablers who allow for the existence of Jerry's ego and the swiss cheese rosters he assembles every year.

Enjoy the annual okie doke. You'll be back making foolishly optimistic threads next year once you go through your summer amnesia.

Once again Prescott had a chance to be the hero and once again he finished being a zero!
