And not holding outIt’s just to make sure he’s healthy.

I will never, ever understand (especially given our track record drafting defenders other than Parsons, Downs, and Barham), this attitude that draft picks are more valuable than PROVEN and consistent talent. Getting a player you know beyond a shadow of a doubt is good is worth so much more than rolling the dice in the draft. Especially when our CB room is currently pretty depleted outside of Bland. Everyone is just super pissed after the Raven's loss and the past 30 years and this could have been the Crosby trade we all want and there would still be 10 threads deriding multiple aspects of it and saying Jerry sucks. Just what you get in negative echo chambers cultivated by 30 years of BS and after a gut-wrenching loss.I am one of the most cynical fans on this forum and I just do not get all the negativity. Now we are complaining about a 6th round pick? Really?
For once Jerry made a trade for a player that will actually upgrade the defense. If you want to complain about a 6th round pick, how about the 4th he gave up for Rashan Gary? Or the 5th he gave up for Dee Winters? Maybe I am dead wrong but Port is actually a guy who can play and he is better than what the Cowboys are putting on the field right now.
If the Cowboys sign him for 4 years then he is not just a piece for this season, he is a solid CB for the next 4 years. One less thing for the Cowboys to worry about in the draft next year. For once Jerry is trying to do something instead of signing some burger flipper off the street and claiming it's an upgrade.
So do you think this is a bad time to promote my football party promotion company to fellow Zoners?I will never, ever understand (especially given our track record drafting defenders other than Parsons, Downs, and Barham), this attitude that draft picks are more valuable than PROVEN and consistent talent. Nah, I'm sure you have a fine selection of Jerry dartboards, giant inflatable Stephen punching bags, and life size Charlotte dolls (for entertainment purposes only, of course). So do you think this is a bad time to promote my football party promotion company to fellow Zoners?
@Risen Star has a history of being an avid supporter of the importance of the CB position. It is arguably his favorite position in the sport.Risen needs a welfare check. I haven’t seen him this wired since Wentz was a starter.
The only thing I worry about when trading draft picks (day one and two) is you don't know where those picks will be this early in the season. If the Cowboys somehow manage to go on a run and win 10 games, that 2nd round pick is not that big of a deal. If the continue to lose and wind up with a top 10 pick in each round, then the trade may be regrettable if Porter doesn't play up to expectations.I will never, ever understand (especially given our track record drafting defenders other than Parsons, Downs, and Barham), this attitude that draft picks are more valuable than PROVEN and consistent talent. He just traded for one of the best corners in the league.Different season but same results.
Always need CBs and ignore other areas or positions
Overhype Dak
Give contract extensions to the wrong players
Hire unqualified coaches
Jerry Jones does not know how to run a football team.
Prior to this trade, was this team one cornerback away from the Super Bowl?He just traded for one of the best corners in the league.
Who knows. They certainly are in a pretty good position to win the East. This was an excellent trade for the Cowboys.Prior to this trade, was this team one cornerback away from the Super Bowl?
Who knows? The current record and overall performance of this team should tell you that. There is no pass rush, blown assignments, etc. That is a SB contender?Who knows. They certainly are in a pretty good position to win the East. This was an excellent trade for the Cowboys.
I suspect that they win the next 2 games and are better than you think they are.Who knows? The current record and overall performance of this team should tell you that. There is no pass rush, blown assignments, etc. That is a SB contender?
