Anyone who believes a defense should be built from the secondary forward is a tool and yes that includes CP if he actually believes this.

Look, we all know the defense was built around DTs and stopping the run, bro. It just hasn't panned out... or hasn't panned out, yet.

Every NFL secondary needs a #1 CB, and we didn't have one because Diggs flaked out. Now we do with JPJr.

Bland is best in the slot. We've got alpha males in Porter (CB), Downs (S), QW (DT), and Barham at MIKE.

I think the goal was to have a dog or 2 on all 3 levels. It's as smple as that.

If this defense sucks, it's on Parker 100%. But... Browns old DC is available for the 2027 season if that's the case.

That is very interesting -- most of the analysts said that Porter wouldn't fit in our system because it is zone heavy. However, having one side of the field covered in man while the rest of the field is in zone is going to reduce the area you have to deal with in zone -- that seems like it is going to make for fewer holes in the zone.

Im starting to think any analyst quoting zone heavy isnt worth listening to, because it describes literally every NFL defense now.

I think when Quinnen Williams is rushing gaps and pushing the pocket this defense is much better overall. Q is not a one technique it's not his game. What Dallas did last week against Derek Henry shows this front 7 is still finding their way and can improve. If Parker allows Big Q to play as a pocket collapsing rusher Dallas is a better defense, plain and simple.

Solid post, I agree with the whole thing. I am posting post Texans game, Quinnen Williams was a beast all day and Gary and that front 7 came to play. As far as JPJ you have to aquire talent anyway you can ,good corners are hard to come by. Cee Dee Lamb had a hall of fame type performance 17 catches and the 17th the game winner. Dallas is 2-2 and right back in the NFC EAST race .

As far as JPJ you have to aquire talent anyway you can ,good corners are hard to come by. Cee Dee Lamb had a hall of fame type performance 17 catches and the 17th the game winner. Dallas is 2-2 and right back in the NFC EAST race .

Hopefully, we tighten up on pass coverage as we get some players back in the secondary. Run D is starting to gel a bit. T Smith is back soon, which will provide a nice boost on Offense. LFG!
