What if Cowboys D had to defend CeeDee?

Imagine in the meltdown if the Cowboys defense had given up 17 catches for 189 yards to 1 WR.

Not to mention Pickens with 75 yards.
I think we are seeing just how much more valuable Lamb is than Pickens. When Pickens is on and getting open, he is so talented, but we have seen for quite a while that when he is bracketed or doubled, he lets up; he quits.

Lamb was covered often, sometimes doubled. He was hammered just as the ball hit his hands. But even when he was blanketed, he kept fighting, kept running his route and was where he was supposed to be. That gives the QB the confidence to “throw him open,” to fit the ball in a tough situation because he knows the receiver will fight for the ball and the position and make the reception or at least not quit on it and hang the QB out to dry. That is very different than simply fighting for the 50/50 balls in 1-1 coverage which Pickens excels at.
